"Should?"
Yao paused for a moment, then quickly caught on. "I forgot you don't remember anything now. It's all right. When I undergo my baptism, I can ask the Grand Elder to examine you. If you haven't had your coming-of-age ceremony, I can ask Father God to arrange one for you."
"Don't trouble the Divine King." Shi Lan's first reaction was to refuse. She didn't know much about the ancient gods' coming-of-age ceremonies, nor was she particularly curious about them. She didn't want to see the Divine King again. Quietly leaving the Lingyang Realm was the best course of action now.
The Divine King felt far too inscrutable to her. Before such an exalted being, she felt there was no way to conceal her secrets.
At the thought of the Divine King, Shi Lan unconsciously glanced at the youth beside her.
Noticing Shi Lan's gaze, Xia turned his head awkwardly, clearly still reeling from the slap Yao had just given him.
"What kind of trouble is that?" Yao waved a hand, looking almost excited. "If you haven't come of age yet, I think you could advance your cultivation to at least the Void Realm after the baptism."
There were only a handful of ancient gods throughout the entire divine race who could enter the Void Realm right after their coming-of-age ceremony. Even Yao herself, by her own estimate, would be lucky to reach the late Origin Realm. Judging by that, Yang's bloodline might be even more powerful than she'd imagined.
She might have struck gold on this hunt for ancient beasts.
"I appreciate the trouble." After feigning a moment's hesitation, Shi Lan nodded and agreed for now. She had already decided to leave the Lingyang Realm as soon as Yao was gone. Without a doubt, that was the best choice.
