Background / History

Ling Feng discovers Na'er unconscious on the outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest and brings her to the Soul Ring Pavilion rather than leave her vulnerable to soul beasts. When she wakes, she remembers only her name and has no recollection of her family, home, or past. She quickly comes to trust Ling Feng as her rescuer. 66

After witnessing her Silver Dragon Spear, Ling Feng identifies Na'er as a fragment of the Silver Dragon King's soul, separated so that Gu Yuena could integrate part of herself into human society. Initially intending to return her to the Star Dou Great Forest, Ling Feng relents when Na'er asks to remain with him until her memories return. 67

Ling Feng introduces her publicly as an old friend's daughter seeking refuge. He takes her through the human world, where her curiosity about unfamiliar places and objects is immediately apparent. 68
