Huff, huff...
Tang San turned and saw Dai Mubai lying on the ground, a bamboo stick resting across his back.
"Hey..."
Dai Mubai tensed, but it didn't hurt. In fact, it felt surprisingly comfortable.
Did that mean he'd imagined the vicious beating?
Huff, huff...
Then he felt the bamboo stick sliding across his body. The more it moved, the more comfortable he felt. Especially since Tang San could reach all those spots he couldn't scratch himself...
"Enjoying yourself, are you?" Dai Mubai shut his eyes.
Tang San didn't stop, continuing to wield the bamboo stick.
After all, the academy's entrance exam had been a little lenient. He wouldn't lose anything by taking control of the stick.
"Hey, wait! That's enough!"
Ning Rongrong watched Tang San and Dai Mubai grapple over the bamboo stick. Dai Mubai's expression grew more and more blissful, and his face flushed with pleasure.
Were all the men at Shrek Academy this shameless?
After a while, Dai Mubai lay sprawled on the ground, watching Tang San. "That feels great, but I'd feel even better if you switched places with me."
His third and fifth spirit rings lit up beneath him.
Gravity Amplification increased his weight, and a powerful force pressed down on him.
Dai Mubai was caught off guard. Tang San suddenly felt a massive weight bearing down on him from every direction. His body seemed to crumple beneath it, his legs bending until his knees crashed into the ground.
"Little pervert, now let's see where you run!"
Dai Mubai grinned and strode forward, grabbing Tang San by the collar with his right hand.
Smack!
A crisp slap rang out. Tang San's left cheek swelled up at once.
That was the result of Dai Mubai holding back his strength.
If he'd hit him with all his might, Tang San's head could have been knocked right off his shoulders.
Smack, smack, smack...
Dai Mubai's right and left hands alternated, and Tang San's cheeks were soon swollen beyond recognition.
"Bam!"
The scene was so brutal that no one could bear to watch.
Zhu Zhuqing calmly walked out of the arena and gave up on offering support.
Oscar was knocked away by Dai Mubai as well. If he hadn't run fast enough, he'd have been turned into a meat patty.
Tang San, you're a good brother!
Thanks for taking the beating in my place. I'll make sure not to get you into trouble so often from now on.
In the arena, Tang San's entire face was swollen, purple and green. Yet the purple gleam in his eyes burned all the brighter.
Even a clay Buddha had a temper. Tang San wasn't someone who could be bullied without end.
But he still had two spirit rings left to use. He clenched his teeth and invoked the Purple Demon Eye. "The first form of the Mysterious Jade Hands: Jade Serenity!"
As the words left his mouth, a blue-green blade of light appeared in Tang San's hand.
His wrist turned, and he struck Dai Mubai's waist.
Smack!
"Bam!"
Dai Mubai had assumed all of Tang San's spirit skills were gentle attacks meant to soothe and relax him, so he hadn't bothered to defend himself. He hadn't expected the sudden, fierce pain in his waist.
The pain seemed to reach straight into his soul and bones.
Huff, huff...
Tang San quickly pulled a bamboo stick from his belt and struck Dai Mubai so hard that Dai Mubai let out a groan. The first spirit skill in Tang San's thousand-year spirit ring—the Immovable King's Body—activated.
Though it lasted only a hundred years, it could still deflect attacks across a three-meter radius around him.
"Aaagh..."
Immortal Herb Poison spread across Tang San's body, and the pain was so intense that he couldn't help but cry out.
Dai Mubai gritted his teeth. "Heh. Little pervert, you wanted to take advantage of me. I bet you even secretly enjoyed it."
A cold gleam flashed through Tang San's Purple Demon Eye.
In the depths of his mind, a warning from the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud resurfaced: never try to bite a tiger's tail. Otherwise, you might easily end up becoming its meal.
The warning had already been proven true.
So he was determined not to hide anymore.
He also wanted to know just how far his abilities had come by facing Dai Mubai, who was using the Immovable King's Body.
Dai Mubai was the closest to Tang San. He clearly felt the change in Tang San's aura, but he didn't know why. His own spirit perception instinctively detected an immense sense of danger.
What was going on?
The young men present were all stunned.
That little rabbit, just now, had used some kind of method to disguise his aura, and even Dai Mubai had felt a chill. Now this little pervert had unexpectedly made him feel threatened, too.
Tang San was about to use a hidden weapon, when Luo Mo, who was watching the scene unfold, suddenly moved.
He slightly amplified Dai Mubai's anger, making the rage suppressed in his heart surge up like a volcano.
At that moment, Dai Mubai's eyes were bloodshot, his chest full of rage. He had been unable to do a thing against the Immovable King, yet now he was being beaten by a little brat at the Academy. If he couldn't win a single round back, he'd become the laughingstock of the entire academy.
At that thought, the fourth spirit ring beneath Dai Mubai lit up. A strange ripple spread from him, quickly enveloping Tang San.
The fourth spirit skill of his thousand-year spirit ring—the Spatial Pursuit.
Once it locked on to a target, Dai Mubai could close the hundred-meter gap between them in an instant.
Tang San didn't know what was happening, but his instincts told him he had to dodge.
Feeling the immense pressure bearing down on him, he forced himself to his feet and hurriedly moved away, blurring into several afterimages as he fled.
Dai Mubai burst into laughter. "No use, little pervert. It's already locked on to you."
As he spoke, his second spirit ring lit up too. His entire body sprang into the air, lunging at Tang San.
The second spirit skill of his hundred-year spirit ring—the Great Strength Vajra Palm.
Tang San scrambled to shift positions, but no matter how he moved, Dai Mubai's figure in midair began to close in on him.
Dai Mubai slapped his right palm toward Tang San's chest.
Thump!
Crash!
Dai Mubai's palm sent Tang San flying. He spat out blood, and as he arced through the air, he let out a groan.
Tang Chen, hidden in the shadows, nearly burst out when he saw this.
"Dai Mubai, you're going too far!"
At that moment, Ning Rongrong spoke up.
Dai Mubai heard her voice and quickly calmed down. He looked at Tang San, who had been sent flying, his expression uneasy.
Did he really have to lose his temper like that?
After all, his opponent was just a kid.
"Xiao Bai, go get Xiao Wu." Dai Mubai turned and called out to Oscar, then glanced at Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong. He wondered whether he should have them join the little rabbit in the fight.
Suddenly, he noticed that Ning Rongrong was blowing on something.
He focused his gaze, and saw that it was fragrant.
He looked back at where he'd thrown Tang San, but Tang San was gone. Then he noticed the incense stick in Ning Rongrong's hand. It was already burning out.
"Dai Mubai, I've made it through, haven't I?"
Ning Rongrong held the burning incense stick, her eyes gleaming with a hint of mischief.
She knew how terrifying the Immovable King was. She'd been worried that Tang San would be knocked over and drag her into the fight, so she'd asked Zhu Zhuqing to take the incense and light it as quickly as possible. Luckily, she'd just made it in time.
"Hmph. Lucky you." Dai Mubai thought for a moment and decided not to argue.
Ning Rongrong was the cherished daughter of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. If he offended her, he might end up unable to eat or even leave in one piece.
"Little San, are you all right?"
When the entrance exam ended, Xiao Wu had hurried back with Oscar. Dai Mubai quickly helped Tang San up, looking at him like a brother who truly cared.
A new fire seemed to have been lit in his heart.
That was brutal...
Dai Mubai really was something. He hadn't held back at all.
