Sudala's behavior made Liu Zhi laugh. By now, he could see that, just as he'd guessed, Sudala had started out on Water Blue Star following the dragon path.
But as a dragon, it wasn't easy for Sudala to take the path of a player.
By the time he realized that being a dragon wasn't the key, and that what mattered was becoming a player, it was already too late. He had become a dragon, and for a dragon, becoming a player was difficult—becoming a hero was difficult, too.
For years, Sudala had been trying to find a way to take that step.
The problem was that he had never been able to shed his identity as a dragon.
In the end, Sudala had come up with a plan. He let his dragon body die and hid his soul inside a smaller soul, hoping to let that little soul grow.
At the very least, he could make the little soul into a player.
The idea was much like that of players who realized at level 14 that they'd taken the wrong path and deleted their characters to start over.
The only difference was that Sudala was a dragon. Even if he deleted his character and started over, he still couldn't become a player right away.
He had to find a way to become a player one step at a time.
But it wasn't as simple as deciding to do it.
Otherwise, with so many worlds and planes, there couldn't possibly be so few players.
Sudala had gone through this process five or six times. By then, so much time had passed that his dragon body had become a bone dragon, yet he still hadn't become a player.
His best result had been becoming an NPC in a game—one without a resurrection
