Liu Zhi's actions as he surveyed the docks drew some attention. Once people realized he was examining the area, several soon gathered around him.
Among them, Liu Zhi noticed not only muscular men who looked like marble sculptures, but also several beings who didn't seem human.
There were winged Harpies, a Cyclops, and some creatures that seemed connected to the sea.
Liu Zhi sensed traces of divine blood in them. It was clear that, whether these burly men or the other creatures, their ancestry could ultimately be traced back to one or two gods.
In a sense, this world was a home for the gods. Everything could be connected to them.
Even those porters might well be descendants of some god or other.
Worlds like this were the most troublesome.
Liu Zhi sighed. Before he could say anything, Videnina had already appeared in front of him.
Videnina had been of little use in the earlier battles between planes. She was far too weak compared to those divine players and couldn't survive in the star domains, so Liu Zhi had never brought her along.
But things were different now. Videnina had reappeared at Liu Zhi's side.
As Liu Zhi's guardian, Videnina stood with her hand on her sword, watching the enemy as usual. Her sudden appearance, however, immediately caught the attention of several people at the docks.
"Wait! This is all a misunderstanding. Don't do anything rash."
A nobleman who looked like an administrator hurried over.
He wore a white silk cloak and nothing underneath it. A gold-edged leather belt was fastened around his waist, and he wore a pair of golden-looking sandals. A golden Laurel Wreath rested on his head.
When he reached Liu Zhi, he looked him over, then glanced at Videnina beside him. Afterward, he bowed his head
