On the road leading to Mount Olympus, Liu Zhi walked alone. This time, he hadn't even brought Videnina. After all, this was his path, and it had nothing to do with anyone else.
It was the same for those who had become mythic in the past, and for those who came here to advance to mythic.
They all set out alone, found Mount Olympus alone, and climbed it alone.
Only after reaching the top of Mount Olympus could they secure a place there for their former companions or subordinates.
Liu Zhi was no different. Even though he knew Videnina wanted to go with him, and understood that she was strong, he still had to set out alone.
Because each person only got one chance to climb the mountain.
Liu Zhi was confident about his climb, but if Videnina went with him, her attempt would have to be counted separately.
It would count toward Videnina's own chance to climb.
Liu Zhi didn't think Videnina had any chance of becoming a god here, but it was still better to save that opportunity if possible.
Though he was traveling alone, Liu Zhi hadn't found the journey inconvenient.
After leaving Athens, he carried a bottle of olive oil and headed north.
As he traveled, he felt more and more eyes settling on him.
Some of those gazes were hostile, others curious, and some even seemed to offer him encouragement.
That left Liu Zhi rather speechless. He had no idea how he was sensing those emotions.
Along the way, Liu Zhi met many gods who didn't live on Mount Olympus.
Most were river gods or minor gods of the wilds and mountains.
Their levels were about the same as Liu Zhi's. To the gods on Mount Olympus, they were merely mythic, still some distance from
