To make anything stronger, he needed better materials.
Most of the gems here were at the Extraordinary level. They could be used to craft all kinds of equipment and items, or as building materials. They made for a fairly decent general-purpose medium of exchange.
Liu Zhi made so many of them because even if he didn't need them when buying things, he could still put them to use in his territory. That way, they wouldn't go to waste.
Of course, the main reason was that gems were the only thing Liu Zhi could make right now. His situation was much like that of certain resource heroes in Heroes of Might and Magic: he could produce a few gems every day.
But aside from gems, he couldn't make any other resources.
Naturally, compared to those resource heroes, Liu Zhi's daily production rate and output were far greater.
As soon as he tossed the Ice Gems onto the pile, several Little Spiders crawled out and began dragging them aside, sorting them by size.
Liu Zhi sat on the throne in the temple and waited for Dake and the others to return.
Dake and the others had already withdrawn their troops. They were hurrying back to Liu Zhi's personal space along the route they had taken to get there.
Although Liu Zhi had reached the Mythic level, he was still on someone else's turf. He didn't dare open a passage to
