"We've been tricked!"
The same thought flashed through the minds of Liu Zhi and his two companions.
The Death Knight dragged all five of the White Death God's clones into his range in an instant, then shouted to Liu Zhi and the others.
"Save her!"
Liu Zhi and Death God Ghost abandoned the fight at once and rushed back the way they had come.
At the trap, the Necromancer had also realized something was wrong. No longer caring about staying hidden, he stepped out and pointed his staff at the ground.
At his gesture, a layer of Yellow Sand spread across the swamp.
Footprints appeared in the sand.
They were spaced remarkably far apart, with only one appearing every ten meters or so.
But that was enough for the Necromancer.
All he needed was to locate the enemy.
Once he had pinpointed the enemy's position, the Necromancer pointed in that direction, sending a cloud of gloom flying toward it.
The cloud was filled with countless writhing skulls.
If Liu Zhi had been there, he would have recognized it as a variation of spells like Poison Mist and Gloom Cloud. Poison-mist spells had a large attack radius, but little else going for them.
But here, it was extremely effective.
Anyone who was poisoned would turn green.
Once the assassin's location was revealed, he would no longer be anything to fear. After all, an assassin's greatest strengths were stealth and invisibility.
Sure enough, after the cloud passed, a green figure appeared where the footprints had been.
Unlike the figure outside, who was still wrapped in a cloak and the like, this one wore the usual assassin's garb. He had discarded anything that might hinder his movements.
His weapons were different from those of the earlier clones, too. They weren't strapped to his
