After all, in Egyptian mythology, the Sun God went to the Underworld every night.
That meant all they needed to do was find an opportunity to visit the Underworld. At midnight, they could meet some Sun Gods who had already died.
It seemed this quest would be easier than the others.

He glanced at Imhotep and asked, "Should I meet with them?"
"They're all ordinary beast gods. They've come because the reapers have a gathering in the inner district. If there's anything Your Majesty wants, you can trade with them first. If they don't have it, you can ask at the trading market in the inner city."

Most people came here to trade. The true gods all had their own territories; they wouldn't be confined to Cairo.
That might be understandable in Heliopolis, but Cairo wasn't a place where gods lived permanently.
As a newly arrived mythic-level being, Liu Zhi naturally had some good things on hand, as well as a need for supplies. So some mythic-level beings, whether through their avatars or in person, would naturally set their sights on newcomers like him.
