If Liu Zhi wanted to deal with Daris, the first thing he had to figure out was where Daris was.
Once he found him and locked onto his target, Daris wouldn't be that difficult to handle.
Daris knew his own weakness, too.
So outside of battle, he almost never showed himself. The only time he might appear was during his realm's annual Feast of the Gods.
On that day, Daris emerged from the reflected light and stood openly before his people, showing them that he existed.
At the same time, he was sending a message to the other mythic beings: this realm was under his protection, and anyone who didn't fear death could come and test him.
After all, he had a record of assassinating mythic beings.
The record wasn't especially well known, but he had truly taken the lives of several mythic beings. Even mythic soldiers were still mythic beings.
As an assassin, all he had to do was prove that he was alive and still capable of killing. Then no one would dare touch his territory.
Liu Zhi had known about the Feast of the Gods for a long time.
But he also understood that Daris would be fully prepared to appear on that day.
It wasn't as if no one had ever tried to ambush Daris then.
Some gods had even lain in wait a day or two beforehand, or tried to track him afterward. None of them had ever returned alive.
So ambushing Daris on that day was actually the most dangerous option.
Liu Zhi wasn't about to do that.
His method for finding Daris was simple.
