After exiting the Nether Palace, Liu Zhi still felt dazed. Even though he was used to being in a game and to his identity as a Necromancer, he had never imagined he would encounter something related to divinity.

That was divinity, after all. The god in question might have fallen, but the gulf between gods and mortals remained.

Sitting on a nearby boulder, Liu Zhi watched the Rushing Corpse Cart gather the bodies scattered across the ground. He was still staring blankly, hardly able to believe he had run into something like this.

After sitting there for a little while, Liu Zhi suddenly sensed that something was wrong. The sounds of fighting in the jungle had stopped, and everything seemed far too quiet.

Puzzled, Liu Zhi looked more closely and realized that the four zombies who had been left here with nowhere to go had vanished.

"Wait, where are my subordinates?"

Liu Zhi grew worried. He quickly stood up, pulled the long sword from the ground, and headed into the jungle.

It didn't take long for Liu Zhi to find the source of his unease. The trail was marked with signs of his undead killing their enemies, but at a certain point, all the traces stopped. Only the tracks left by the fleeing native warriors continued onward.

His subordinates seemed to have vanished into thin air.

Remembering that the Rushing Corpse Cart was still outside collecting bodies, Liu Zhi didn't think his other undead had disappeared because they'd encountered some irresistible force.

Just then, Liu Zhi heard a rustling nearby.

He turned toward the sound and saw the Corpse Soul Naga gliding over, weapons in hand.
