What Had Been Forgotten

After exchanging a glance with Videnina, Liu Zhi gave the order without hesitation.

"Pursue."

But the question was, where had that player escaped to? Where was Liu Zhi supposed to pursue her?

This left Liu Zhi in an awkward spot. He was just about to pick up the Red Jade fragments scattered across the ground and see if he could find the enemy when the Spider Infantry still stationed there rushed out.

The Spider Infantry charged out at once, as if they already knew exactly where the enemy was.

Liu Zhi paused, then remembered: the Red Jade statue had burst up from underground, and the female enemy seemed to have emerged from underground as well. The enemy was below.

Once he had worked that out, Liu Zhi quickly led his men underground in pursuit.

As they charged down from the platform where the Red Jade statue had emerged, Liu Zhi noticed that the Spider Infantry had already cleared the way through the underground passages. He and Videnina only needed to follow the main route.

Before long, Liu Zhi found what appeared to be a secret chamber originally used to store the Red Jade statue.

He came to this conclusion because the chamber connected to the platform outside. He could even see the track that had carried the Red Jade statue up to the surface.

He also saw the statue's pedestal. It was made to fit the base of the Red Jade statue, and one look was enough for Liu Zhi to determine that the statue had previously been placed on it to charge and strengthen it.

But what truly convinced Liu Zhi that this was where the Red Jade statue had been stored was the Magic Array on the floor.
