The Blockade

The Yadaliate plunged downward, and the entire ship stabbed into the silver lake.

The next instant, the lake water bounced the Yadaliate back up.

But then a silver figure used the water's rebound to leap aboard the Yadaliate.

Once the figure had steadied himself, Liu Zhi and the others noticed that he wasn't entirely silver. The silver liquid had assimilated him, and four-fifths of his body had already turned silver.

The figure lifted his head, and Fix, standing at the very back, suddenly cried out.

"Adaman! How can it be you? Weren't you already dead?"

The man called Adaman didn't answer. He lunged straight forward. Fix immediately shouted, "Everyone, watch out! He's a water mage, and he's extremely skilled at controlling liquids!"

Before Fix could finish, Adaman swung a fist at his head.

Lucius reacted quickly, raising his shield to block the blow. The impact knocked him back several steps. From his movements, it was clear that Adaman wasn't a water mage, as Fix had said. He seemed more like a pugilist.

After knocking Lucius back, Adaman bent forward. When he straightened up again, his head had turned into that of a wild bear.

"He's a feral druid! Fall back!"

But everyone reacted a beat too slowly. The bear-form Adaman charged and slammed into Lucius from behind, knocking him back several more steps.

Peter seized the opening and drew his greatsword, swinging it at the bear's head.

At that moment, Liu Zhi seemed to spot something. He shouted, "Amanet, stop them!"

Amanet had also seen what Liu Zhi had noticed. A large number of silver liquid masses had appeared in the sky. They were turning into silver figures just like Adaman and charging toward the Yadaliate.

If these silver figures were as strong as Adaman, the situation would become dire.
