The Malacca gathering point was bustling early the next morning.
At dawn, a formidable-looking party came out of the woods.
At first, the guards at Malacca didn't pay them much attention. After all, countless parties emerged from the woods every day, most of them groups that had gone in to hunt or search for treasure.
They only came back out after finding something—or suffering a crushing loss—in the woods.
But this party was clearly different. It numbered more than forty, and its leader was a six-armed Naga. She carried a battle-axe, two swords, and two things that looked like lasers. It was obvious she could fight both at close range and from a distance.
Following her was a large group of ordinary Naga carrying dual swords. They had only two arms, but their equipment was quite impressive.
Protected by these ordinary Naga were two Naga seers, who were escorting... an Eight-Armed Naga.
This Eight-Armed Naga was different from the others, too. She was a swordswoman, with six long, katana-like swords hanging from her waist. Six fine-thorn swords and six ordinary swords were also strapped to her back.
But aside from all those swords and arms, what drew the most attention was the pair of eyes she held aloft in her uppermost arms.
The eyes looked lifeless, yet everyone who glanced at them sensed the bloodline of the Naga royal family.
That gave the guards at Malacca a pretty good idea of what was going on.
