These little fairies seemed to know where Liu Zhi was. They flew straight toward him.
Liu Zhi found it strange. He had clearly flown up into the air and hidden himself with the Dark Sky Curtain, so why could these little fairies still find him?
He drew Thunder God's Destroyer Fang and gripped the Soul-Devouring Eye staff in his left hand, ready to give the little fairies a hard blow when they came close.
But to his surprise, when the little fairies had flown to within some distance of him, they began circling around him.
They didn't seem to be trying to attack Liu Zhi. Instead, they seemed to want to absorb something from him.
Looking at the little fairies, Liu Zhi thought it over carefully. He put away Thunder God's Destroyer Fang, freeing his right hand, and held it out in front of him. A small clump of souls appeared in his palm.
This little clump of souls wasn't part of Liu Zhi's reserves. He had casually plucked it from the underworld.
With Liu Zhi's current skill in Soul Extraction, doing something like this was easy. He no longer needed to spend ages preparing as he had before.
As long as Liu Zhi willed it, he could gather as many of these clusters of soul fragments as he wanted.
As soon as Liu Zhi took out the small clump of soul fragments, all the butterflies flew toward him.
It was clear that these butterfly-like fairies had a great need for the soul fragments.
Liu Zhi opened his hand, and the little fairies chased after the soul fragments.
