Dark Force is forged by sinking power into the marrow, connecting the Ren and Du meridians, and containing force within the body. In contrast, Clear Force originates from flesh and blood and resonates through the sinews and bones. Dark Force is described as quiet, condensed, and lethally explosive. 97

Upon entering the realm, Cui Hao gains sharper senses, lighter movement, and greatly improved control over blood and qi. He can gather a contained burst of force in his fist at will. 97

Condensed Force Release

Dark Force can remain contained until the instant of release, then erupt with destructive force.

• Cui Hao shatters a carriage from within by releasing Dark Force, using the flying debris as concealment. 99
• Force transmitted through Cui Hao’s sword numbs Xiu Duanfeng’s hand and disrupts his blood and qi. 100

Precision and Bodily Control

Advancement improves control rather than merely increasing raw power.

A practitioner can channel Dark Force into the body to strengthen it against attacks.

• Ma Shan channels Dark Force into his arms, making his skin take on a stone-like sheen and causing Luo Qing’s flying needles to rebound. 129
• Dark Force carried through weapons can injure an opponent internally even when their blade successfully blocks the strike. 104

Limitations

• Differences between Dark Force sub-stages remain dangerous: two Minor Accomplishment Blood Tribulation Path cultivators pressure Cui Hao while he is only at the early stage. 123
• Repeated clashes with stronger Dark Force can transmit violent force through a weapon and damage the defender’s internal organs. 104
• Even a practitioner at Dark Force Perfection remains beneath Transformation Force; the latter is treated as a martial threshold separating fundamentally different levels of control and power. 209 252
