• At the auction, Bi Ji bought the Primordial Nine Runes and the Heavenly Origin Divine Art for the Soul Beast Clan, while Shrek Academy secured ten Realm-Breaking Pills.

The Starry Sky Auction House’s final lots shifted the balance of power, then Jiang Li opened the Ascending Heavenly Ladder and brought its participants through trials that transformed them. When the Abyss invaded, Huo Yuhao returned from a meeting with his future self carrying a divine mark, while Gu Yuena prepared the Soul Beast Clan for the conflict.

• Du Busi bought the Heart of Destruction, Bi Ji won the Beast God Weapon for the Soul Beast Clan, and Gu Yuena secured the Speak the Law inheritance and the Heart of Annihilation.
• Zhongli Wu won the Slaughter God inheritance, Ning Qitian won the God of Wishes inheritance, and Mu En secured the Gate of Time and Space Descent for Shrek Academy.
• Elder Xuan’s alliance won the Sword of All Beings, and Jiang Li closed the auction house after Gu Yuena won the Heart of Annihilation, promising an opportunity in three days.
• Jiang Li revealed the Ascending Heavenly Ladder, whose tailored trials gave participants opportunities to grow, while the God Kings recognized that it disrupted Douluo Continent’s laws and the Abyss passage was forming.
• Huo Yuhao, Di Tian, and Gu Yuena gained power on the ladder, then Jiang Li closed it after a month as the Abyss breached the planar barrier and invaded Douluo Continent.
• Shrek’s leaders activated the Gate of Time and Space Descent, which drew Huo Yuhao into a temporal passage where his future self gave him an Emotion Divine Mark and warned him about Sea God Tang San.
• Huo Yuhao returned and told Mu En and Xuan Zi that the God of Emotions had given him a way to survive the crisis, while keeping his meeting and warning secret.
• Gu Yuena ordered the Soul Beast Clan to defend its territory and await a chance to march on the God Realm as the Abyssal Sage King dispatched his emperors against human strongholds.
