Act Together

"Really, you don't need my help?" Saitama looked at Daredevil, who had taken off his shirt and even his mask, with some concern. After all, Daredevil was blind, and the idea of a blind person performing surgery on himself seemed a bit too much.

"Thanks, I can manage on my own. Besides, I've done this quite a few times, so I'm pretty experienced." Daredevil smiled.

"Oh, I see. Then please continue."

Daredevil picked up a knife, heated it over a flame, and then began to operate on himself.

With a towel clenched in his mouth, the moment the knife entered his body, Daredevil let out a roar from his throat, but his wrist remained remarkably steady. Watching Daredevil like this, Saitama couldn't help but feel a little admiration.

"So this is what you look like. You're quite handsome." Skye complimented Daredevil after he removed his mask.

"Thank you, but please keep it a secret." Daredevil, pale from the exertion and blood loss from the bullet removal surgery, still managed a gentle smile.

"Don't worry, I'll definitely keep it a secret." Skye nodded excitedly. Knowing a superhero's true identity was thrilling and exhilarating for her. Of course, she already knew the identity of an even more powerful superhero, Invisible Man, but because Saitama was so peculiar, knowing that Invisible Man was Saitama didn't really bring her any excitement.

"Your, your eyes?" Skye suddenly noticed something unusual about Daredevil's eyes.

"I'm blind."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... but you're truly amazing. If you hadn't told me, I never would have guessed you were... wow, that's incredible."

"My hearing is just better, perhaps my ears are like a bat's." Daredevil even made a light joke about himself.

Looking at Daredevil, Skye felt quite impressed. She couldn't imagine what her life would be like if she were blind; it would undoubtedly be terrible.

"Oh, right, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Matt Murdock. I'm a lawyer!"

Having been saved by Saitama and Skye, and especially with them not removing his mask even when he was unconscious, he began to accept them and considered Saitama and Skye as friends.

Intrigued by Kingpin, or perhaps Saitama was looking for a different kind of thrill, he decided he would confront Kingpin, especially after learning from Daredevil what kind of person Kingpin was.

Unfortunately, Saitama didn't know Kingpin's whereabouts, and even Daredevil didn't know where the real Kingpin was. So, Saitama agreed to team up with Daredevil. According to Daredevil, they would systematically dismantle Kingpin's operations, and when Kingpin could no longer stand it, he would come looking for them.

"Matt--"

"Don't call me by my name when we're out on missions. I don't want anyone else to know my identity. You can call me Daredevil." Daredevil quickly told Saitama.

"Oh, oh, Daredevil. That's a good name. Then what do you think I should be called?" Saitama felt it was time for him to have a cool moniker as well.

"Don't you already have a name? Invisible Man, Invisible Man is a good name." Daredevil said with a smile.

"But I can't turn invisible."

"It's just a name, and you're so fast you can reach the speed of invisibility, so Invisible Man suits you."

"Alright, Invisible Man it is. So, can we go now?" Saitama sounded a bit eager.

"We can, but are you sure you don't want to change your outfit?" Daredevil "looked" at Saitama.

Hearing this, Saitama looked down at his attire. Everything seemed fine. Yellow spandex, white cape, red gloves. Nothing seemed out of place.

"I mean, aren't you going to conceal your appearance? Putting aside everything else, your bald head is incredibly conspicuous. Aren't you going to wear a mask? Or maybe a wig." Daredevil suggested.

"Huh? But I don't think it's necessary." Saitama touched his bald head. "I've always looked like this. Besides, this is the first hero costume someone ever gave me. It has a lot of sentimental value. I don't want to change it."

"...Alright, if that's what you want, then fine. Your speed is so high that no one can even see you anyway. Just make sure you don't get recognized." Daredevil shook his head, thinking that Saitama's strength was so great that he wouldn't be easily discovered. Of course, he still felt it would be better if Saitama covered his face, but Saitama seemed unwilling.

"Mhm, mhm."

"Invisible Man."

"Huh? Oh, you're calling me? Yes, yes, yes." Saitama's reaction was a bit slow and endearingly clumsy.

Fortunately, Matt already knew that although Saitama seemed unreliable, in reality, well, okay, he was indeed unreliable in some aspects, but when it mattered, Saitama was quite dependable.

"Saitama, today our mission is to stop their transaction. But since they're a group of vicious drug dealers, they'll be armed, and might even have heavy weapons. So, once we reach our destination, we need to seize the right moment and take them down cleanly. We absolutely cannot give them any chance." Matt said earnestly to Saitama.

"Mhm, mhm, I understand." Saitama nodded.

"Invisible Man."

"Yeah!"

"This group is different. So, in a crisis, it's okay to kill them. Can you accept that?" Matt looked at Saitama very seriously.

The reason Matt asked Saitama this was because although Saitama had previously acted as a vigilante and saved many people, his actions were mostly intervening when someone was in danger and defeating the aggressor. While he might injure them with a punch, potentially even causing permanent disability, he had never actually killed anyone. (Speaking of which, in One-Punch Man, Saitama has never killed anyone, has he?)

So, Matt assumed that Saitama had never killed anyone, was kind-hearted, and had his limits. This was why Matt had so easily accepted Saitama as a friend.

But Matt was overthinking it. The reason Saitama hadn't killed anyone was simply because a single punch was enough to injure or disable them. After all, Saitama's previous training was to become a hero who protected humanity and defeated monsters, but this didn't mean Saitama was incapable of killing.

If they were truly heinous criminals, Saitama would absolutely not hold back. So, upon hearing Matt's words, Saitama grinned. "Don't worry, it's no problem."
