Coulson Reappears

"Hey, hey, Skye, are you okay? Skye, hey, wake up! Wake up, Skye!"

Seeing Skye faint, Saitama hurriedly caught her. Fortunately, Skye had only passed out from excessive excitement and woke up quickly. Otherwise, Saitama might have had to slap her across the face a couple of times to wake her.

"Saitama, the money! The money! One hundred million dollars! One hundred million dollars!"

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Didn't we agree on one hundred million dollars ages ago?"

"We did agree on it, but... but this is one hundred million dollars! I still feel like it's just... just too, too exciting. This is so, so amazing." Skye was so excited that she could barely speak coherently.

Seeing Skye like this, Saitama scratched his head. He valued money quite a bit too, but he simply could not get as excited as Skye was.

"Congratulations." Obadiah walked over toward Saitama and Skye with a beaming smile, extending his right hand as he seemingly offered them his sincere blessings. "I didn't expect you to really... um, really rescue Tony."

"Mr. Stane, we already told you that we had the strength to rescue Mr. Tony Stark. This is just the normal outcome." Skye said with a cheerful wave of her hand.

"The normal outcome? Heh heh, the normal outcome! Hehehe!" Obadiah kept smiling, but there was something vaguely off about his smile, though it was impossible to tell exactly what.

Obadiah tightly gripped Saitama's hand and squeezed. Harder. Harder. Harder. Yet his expression did not change in the slightest. "If I'd known the two of you were this capable, things wouldn't have been delayed until now. Still, fortunately, it isn't too late."

At this point, Tony was already sitting on the steps with a cheeseburger in his mouth, preparing to hold his personal press conference. Saitama and Skye had little interest in that sort of thing.

Having gotten the money, Saitama and Skye did not want to stay any longer. After all, there was nothing left for them to do.

But at that moment, Tony suddenly announced that he would shut down Stark Industries' weapons division.

Although Saitama's punch had sent those terrorists and their weapons flying into oblivion, preventing Tony from seeing the vast quantities of Stark Industries weapons piled up in the terrorists' base, Yinsen had told Tony that the terrorists loved the weapons made by Stark Industries. Of course, most importantly, the injury in Tony's chest had indeed been caused by a Jericho Missile he had made himself.

So, even though he had not seen those weapons piled up in the terrorists' base, it made little real difference to Tony.

That was why, the moment he returned, Tony directly announced the closure of Stark Industries' weapons division.

"Oh! Damn it! Tony, what are you talking about?" Obadiah Stane no longer had the time to care about Saitama and Skye. He shoved through the reporters and rushed forward, because Tony's announcement was simply too, too shocking for Stark Industries.

"Has Stark gone crazy? He's actually shutting down the weapons division? Stark Industries started out making weapons, and now he wants to shut the whole division down? Saitama, did something hit his head and mess up his brain while you were rescuing him?" Skye turned around and stared at Saitama in astonishment.

Saitama thought for a moment, then shook his head. "No. From the beginning until I rescued them, nothing ever touched Mr. One Hundred Million Dollars' head."

"Then maybe he went crazy from being captured. Saitama, I think we should leave quickly. If Obadiah decides to cause us trouble because Tony's mind is malfunctioning, that would be real trouble." Skye grabbed Saitama and turned to head outside.

But just then, a man in a black suit with a smile on his face and a slightly receding hairline suddenly blocked their path.

"You two, there are some things I need to ask you about. Would you please cooperate?" Phil Coulson stopped them with a smile, glanced at Skye, then shifted his gaze to Saitama.

Looking at Saitama's bald head, he suddenly remembered that he had seen this bald man before. He had even specifically taken a photo and sent it to Nick Fury, saying that Saitama was an imitator of Translucent and Daredevil.

But Saitama and Skye had rescued Tony Stark from the terrorists. That was not something an ordinary imitator could accomplish.

A big fish? This thought surfaced in Phil Coulson's mind.

But in truth, Phil Coulson hoped that Saitama had merely gotten lucky and rescued Tony by chance. Only then could it prove that he had not neglected his duty.

After all, he had clearly met Saitama before and had even taken a photo of him, yet he had not taken Saitama seriously. If his black egg-headed boss, Nick Fury, found out about this, Phil Coulson felt that he might really be sent to Antarctica to eat penguins. Thinking of all that thick penguin fat made Phil Coulson feel the urge to vomit.

"Huh?" Saitama was completely baffled.

Skye narrowed her eyes at Phil Coulson. "Sorry, but if you're a reporter, your target should be over there, not stopping the two of us."

"I'm not a reporter. FBI. Here are my credentials." Phil Coulson took out a small booklet from his pocket and waved it in front of Skye and Saitama. "I'd like to ask how you rescued Mr. Tony Stark. Please tell me the entire process."

"FBI? Fine. Actually, after seeing the one hundred million dollar reward offered by Stark Industries, we kept thinking about how to get our hands on that money. Even if we couldn't get all one hundred million dollars, we wanted to get at least some of it. That was why we went to apply at Stark Industries. In the end, we were extremely lucky to be patrolling in the area where Mr. Tony Stark had disappeared. By an incredible coincidence, we ran into Mr. Tony Stark, and then we rescued him. That's what happened." Skye was wary of this FBI agent. After all, one hundred million dollars was enough to drive many people to crime, let alone Saitama's identity.

Skye did not want outsiders to discover Saitama's identity. Even if they could not hide it completely, they could at least keep it hidden for a while longer.

P.S. I kept waiting for a site message yesterday, but unfortunately, there wasn't one. That means this book won't have a recommendation next week either. What a disappointment. But an author in the author group said that books by unsuccessful authors usually only get a trial recommendation in the second week after signing, which was enlightening but also a little heartbreaking.
