Background
Myriad Immortal Palace was regarded as the foremost of Great Qian’s Ten Great Immortal Sects. Its territory lay in the center of the cultivation world, and it was said to have endured since the Ancient Era with an unfathomable accumulated foundation 179.
The sect periodically opened the ancient Heavenly Immortal Mansion ruins near Futong Immortal City to outside prodigies. Although these expeditions offered spiritual herbs and other resources, the palace had already plundered the ruins’ principal ancient opportunities; the events primarily served to temper its own disciples 179.
Strength and Resources
Battle Cultivator Lineage
Myriad Immortal Palace inherited a war-oriented lineage of Battle Cultivators whose path emphasized offensive power, battle intent, and constant conflict 179 180.
- Its Battle Cultivator army was described as the only force in Great Qian worthy of the title “immortal army.” 179
- Membership was restricted to Core Formation cultivators and above, with the force reportedly numbering over a thousand members. 179
- Gu Shaokun later commanded 3,000 Battle Cultivators in the assault on the Earth Immortal Mansion’s Third Immortal City. 224
- Following attacks in the barren domain, the army was reduced to 6,000 soldiers, while most palace personnel there were exterminated. 257
Myriad Spirits Slaughtering Immortal Formation
The palace’s most renowned formation was the Myriad Spirits Slaughtering Immortal Formation, considered the strongest formation in the Great Qian Cultivation World at the time 179.
- Ordinary Core Formation disciples could use the formation to contend with Spirit Severing cultivators. 179
- The formation tradition was one of the palace’s three defining strengths, alongside its Battle Cultivators and inherited Daoist methods. 179
Immortal Hall Inheritance
Myriad Immortal Palace possessed what was described as Great Qian’s most extensive, complete, and powerful collection of Daoist-method inheritances 179.
- This inheritance, combined with its ancient history, distinguished it from ordinary Immortal Sect forces. 179
- The palace’s interest in powerful ancient legacies was suspected to be a factor behind its actions against the Earth Immortal Mansion. 223

History
Futong Immortal City and Gu Shaokun’s Emergence
At the Futong Immortal City ruins, the palace’s newly emerged Dao Child, Gu Shaokun, established a fearsome reputation. Though only at Core Formation Layer Five, he defeated and killed more than thirty disciples from factions including Yulong Palace and Nine Spirits Immortal Mountain 180.
The palace’s elders openly shielded him from retaliation. Gu Zhentong declared that junior conflicts were acceptable, but any elder who targeted a Myriad Immortal Palace junior would be killed by the palace in response 181.
War Against the Earth Immortal Mansion
Myriad Immortal Palace instigated Yulong Palace, Lihuo Hall, and Nine Spirits Immortal Mountain to jointly attack the Earth Immortal Mansion’s barren-domain cities. Its forces blockaded the First Immortal City while allied armies targeted the Second, Third, and Fourth Immortal Cities 223.
Gu Shaokun led the palace’s Battle Cultivator army against Third Immortal City. Su Yu countered by activating more than a thousand Rank 4 Mirror Moon Talismans, imprisoning Gu Shaokun, his guardians, dozens of Nascent Soul cultivators, and over 3,000 Battle Cultivators before removing them through a spatial domain 224.
Alliance With the Great Yan Immortal Dynasty
The palace formed a marriage alliance with the Great Yan Immortal Dynasty, linking Gu Shaokun to a county princess. The arrangement was viewed as a means for the dynasty to interfere in Great Qian through its connection to the strongest of the Ten Great Immortal Sects 251.
Myriad Immortal Palace and the Great Yan Immortal Dynasty later attempted to pressure the Earth Immortal Mansion into supporting a Great Qian Immortal Alliance under their preferred terms. Their effort failed when the Earth Immortal Mansion revealed the Golden Horn Heaven Supporting Elephant, forcing the opposing forces to retreat 267 268 270.
Decline and Conflict With Nine Spirits Immortal Mountain
After suffering repeated losses, Myriad Immortal Palace sought to replenish its strength by absorbing the resources and territory of Nine Spirits Immortal Mountain 263. It occupied two of Nine Spirits Immortal Mountain’s immortal cities and attempted to rally other sects to divide the weakened sect, but failed to gain support 264 271.
The palace later pursued pressure tactics intended to hollow out Nine Spirits Immortal Mountain without a direct full-scale assault, causing disciples, elders, families, and local forces to abandon the region 275.
Gu Shaokun’s Death
Gu Shaokun was killed near Canggu Immortal City by a distant arrow that destroyed the Dharma Bodies of his protectors and slew him outright. The strike was believed to have come from a cultivator at least at the peak of the Spirit Severing Stage 275.
Myriad Immortal Palace and the Great Yan Immortal Dynasty demanded accountability from the Black Tortoise Sea race, which had been involved in an earlier confrontation with Gu Shaokun. The Black Tortoise Sea race denied responsibility and warned that any further incursion into the Fuling Sea Region would bring annihilation 275.
Fall
The Great Qian Immortal Alliance ultimately launched a campaign to drive Myriad Immortal Palace from Great Qian. Hong Yue Dao Master used the high-grade void magic treasure, the Cauldron of Space, to break Nine Spirits Immortal Mountain’s barrier and expose Luohe Dao Master and Tianyang Dao Master 293.
Unable to escape through the shallow void, the two Dao Masters fled into the deep void and became lost. With its Dao Master ancestors removed, Myriad Immortal Palace could not resist the alliance’s siege 293.
The alliance breached the sect’s barrier and surrounded its main peak. Venerable Jin Hong was killed by Jiuling Dao Master, who captured and tortured his shattered Nascent Soul in retaliation for the palace’s actions against Nine Spirits Immortal Mountain 294.
