Getting Along with Impel Down

The reason for this is probably that each level of Impel Down is absolute hell for prisoners. Witnessing the brutal tortures daily, ordinary people simply cannot bear such immense psychological pressure, which is why the jailers of Impel Down are all sorts of strange creatures.

As more pirates are imprisoned, there are naturally those who are taken away for execution every day. At such times, no matter how unwilling they are, they must personally witness this true hell.

In the past, when pirates in Impel Down were due for execution, the task of who would go to Impel Down to retrieve the prisoners was always met with reluctance.

But after Wood came to work at Impel Down, they no longer needed to resort to drawing lots.

Previously, they heard that Wood was a newcomer who had just graduated from the Marine Academy, and seeing how young he looked, everyone thought he was just a rookie.

As for Shiryu of the Rain, who would later be imprisoned on the sixth level of Impel Down, he was currently the chief jailer of Impel Down.

It must be said that the Marines stationed at Impel Down being unwilling to enter Impel Down and keeping their distance from its management personnel was not without reason.

Because, to some extent, the personalities of some of Impel Down's management personnel could indeed be considered quite twisted.

However, this beauty was actually the commander of the four jailer beasts on Level 4, "Blazing Hell," of Impel Down, possessing authority equal to that of the warden.

Furthermore, Sadi's personality was extremely unpleasant. She was a complete sadist, and her favorite thing to do was to listen to others groan and take pleasure in it.

And her four jailer beasts, Minotaurus, Minokoala, Minorhinoceros, and Minozebra, were also extremely violent and ferocious beings.

Whether it was the jailer captain Saldeath or the chief jailer Sadi, their appearances hadn't changed much from when Wood watched the anime.

Coupled with their devilish attire, Wood had even thought at one point that their outfits were real, otherwise, he couldn't explain why their appearances hadn't changed at all over the next decade or more.

The people Wood currently got along well with in Impel Down were Saldeath and Sadi. As for Magellan and the others, they were either too high-ranking or their personalities were too different, making it impossible to connect.
