Clash of Rule-Breaking Powers
Las Noches, Barragan watched as his henchmen were surrounded by a lone Shiba. He showed no concern whatsoever. In truth, it didn't matter whether he had these henchmen or not; as long as he was the King of Hueco Mundo, he would never lack servants to serve him tea and water.
Barragan, carrying a double-edged battle axe on his shoulder, walked step by step toward Shūhei Hisagi and Yumichika, saying, "Who gave you the courage to stand before me?"
The next moment, Barragan appeared in front of Shūhei Hisagi, raising his large axe high, and brought it down heavily, intending for Shūhei Hisagi to be the first to be attacked.
With a clang, Yumichika stepped in front of Shūhei Hisagi and used his slender, Asauchi to catch Barragan's giant axe.
With one hand gripping the hilt of Yumichika sword and the other bracing against the back of the blade, Yumichika barely managed to parry Barragan's attacks. Barragan's weapon was a heavy axe, and he continued to increase his strength, the axe blade slowly pressing down on Yumichika's neck.
For Barragan, it didn't matter who died first, since he was going to kill them all anyway.
"Shūhei Hisagi... hurry!" Yumichika said through gritted teeth. His strength wasn't particularly outstanding; he was able to withstand Barragan's attacks entirely thanks to his years of combat experience in the Squad 11.
"I understand, Bankai!"
Shūhei Hisagi did not waste the opportunity that Yumichika had helped him obtain, nor was he arrogant enough to exchange a few blows with Barragan first. He directly used the resources that enabled him to participate in this battle.
Shūhei Hisagi gripped Kazeshini's double-headed spinning scythe with both hands, and the Chains in the middle rose from his body into the sky. The Chains multiplied and formed a ball above Shūhei Hisagi's head, from which several Chains fell, wrapping around his neck and arms.
Simple and straightforward, without many variations, this is Shūhei Hisagi's Bankai, "Kazeshini Twisting Rope!"
The iron ball above Shūhei Hisagi's head dropped its Chains again, tightly binding Barragan's body and slowly pulling at his Barragan. Yumichika quickly withdrew from Barragan's presence.
"This is your Bankai? You want to use Chains to control my body? Useless!"
Barragan swung his axe to try and cut off the Chains him, only to find that his heavy axe was completely ineffective against the thin Chains.
Not enough spiritual pressure? Then use even stronger spiritual pressure to sever them.
"Corrode, Skeletal Emperor!" Barragan's appearance completely changed, his whole body was engulfed in black and purple flames, and his head was completely transformed into the shape of a skull, with a multi-layered crown on his head, making him look exactly like the traditional Western Bleach of death.
The clanging of chains rang out Barragan grasped an even larger black double-bladed battle axe, emanating a chilling aura reminiscent of Gran Caida.
Barragan swung his giant axe easily at the Chains binding him. This time, he could no longer contain his shock; his prized Gran Caida couldn't even break such a small Chains.
"Bleach, I admit I underestimated your Bankai."
Realizing that the Chains couldn't restrict his movements, Barragan simply focused his attention on Shūhei Hisagi. No matter how strange these Bankai, they would crumble if the user was killed.
"Die!"
Barragan appeared behind Shūhei Hisagi in an instant, slashing Shūhei Hisagi's unsuspecting back with his axe. Blood splattered everywhere, and Shūhei Hisagi fell to the ground under the force of the blow, clearly about to be severely injured by Barragan's axe.
"Your turn next."
Ignoring the ill-fated Shūhei Hisagi, Barragan turned to look at Yumichika, only to find that Yumichika showed no intention of making a move and instead shrugged at him.
Before he could even wonder, a sharp pain shot through Barragan's back. He felt as if he had been slashed in the back, not by a knife, but by a tearing, gruesome wound, like that inflicted by a heavy weapon like an axe.
Barragan swung his skeletal arm back to touch the wound on his back. He was right; it was an axe wound, even one left by his own Gran Caida. The wound's path was exactly the same as the one on Shūhei Hisagi's back.
"Did you notice? Shūhei Hisagi's abilities are a real headache for all of us. I bet no one likes his Bankai except for that idiot Ikkaku."
Yumichika smiled and took a few light steps toward Shūhei Hisagi. "Get up, stop pretending to be dead."
"I'm not faking death, it really hurts, okay?" Under Barragan's shocked gaze, Repair quickly got up, showing no sign of being seriously injured.
"I don't believe you. Your pain tolerance has probably been trained by that idiot Ikkaku long ago," Yumichika casually remarked.
"You did this!" Barragan's voice was filled with rage. As the Skeletal Emperor, he hadn't suffered such a serious injury in a long time.
"It doesn't matter if I tell you, the Kazeshini Rope has us locked in place. Whatever injuries you inflict on me will be reflected back to you, and we'll suffer them together."
Shūhei Hisagi did not reveal all the information. After locking onto an enemy, the Kazeshini Rope would begin to absorb the enemy's spiritual pressure, weakening them. During Bankai, both sides would share injuries and pain.
This is a Bankai in mutual destruction. The best strategy is to leave a third person next to Shūhei Hisagi, and then have the third person finish off the opponent after both Shūhei Hisagi and the opponent are weakened.
"It's these chains, isn't it!" Barragan, with his extensive experience, immediately realized that the Chains iron ball on Shūhei Hisagi's head was the culprit. "Nothing can withstand the erosion of time!"
Barragan exhaled a breath onto the Chains binding him, a Respira that would cause everything it touched to age rapidly.
Unsurprisingly, the Chains on Barragan's body began to show signs of rust, but before Barragan could even show a hint of joy, the rust on the Chains was rapidly disappearing, and they were back to their perfect condition.
how so?
Barragan had never encountered anything like this before. The power of the Respira was so great that even he dared not touch it lightly. Just what was this Little Ichi Chains?
"The Kazeshini Rope is less Chains and more a personification of a rule. Those of us bound by this Chains have only one path: to march together toward death."
"Unless all of this ends, the Chains will never break." Shūhei Hisagi plopped down on the ground. "Your aging ability is indeed terrifying, but the mechanism of the Kazeshini Rope is superior to yours."
Just before Shūhei Hisagi spoke, Barragan considered using the power of Respira to kill Shūhei Hisagi outright, but Shūhei Hisagi's words reminded him that if Shūhei Hisagi were to be affected, Barragan himself might also be harmed by Respira.
Most importantly, Barragan himself was not immune to the power of Respira; for a moment, he was truly restrained by Shūhei Hisagi's Kazeshini Rope.
Emperor Barragan was quick-witted; he pointed at Yumichika and threatened, "If I can't do anything to you, I'll kill your companions first."
"Bleach, if you want him to live, then relinquish your power!" Barragan unleashed a torrent of Respira toward Yumichika, black smoke spreading towards Yumichika.
Shūhei Hisagi remained completely unmoved by the scene, neither rushing into the Sigh to use himself as a shield to threaten Barragan, nor verbally retaliating against Barragan.
To be precise, they had already envisioned this scenario from the moment they decided to send the two of them to deal with Barragan.
The fact that Yumichika is able to stand here shows that he possesses the ability to cope with the Respira.
"Although I don't like that person, he's right about some things. The battles of Bleach are battles of spiritual pressure, and by the same token, they can also be used in Hollows."
Yumichika elegantly swept his eyebrows, raised his Zanpakuto, and said, "Bloom wildly, Ruri'iro Kujaku!"
Yumichika's Zanpakuto instantly transformed into dozens of azure-colored vines, reaching into the Respira.
Barragan's Respira possesses the ability to age everything, but its essence is still a product of spiritual pressure. Ruri'iro Kujaku's ability is to absorb the spiritual pressure of its opponents and bloom beautiful flowers on its vines.
The Ruri'iro Kujaku Respira; such a creation of spiritual pressure is a natural nemesis.
The black mist was gradually thinning, and flower buds appeared on the vines. Barragan realized that his Respira was rapidly dwindling, and judging from the fact that the vines were not close to him at all, he guessed that the Gran Caida was the nemesis of these plants.
With Sonido clang, the Gran Caida whistled as it swung towards Yumichika. However, someone else moved faster. The Shūhei Hisagi, who had been watching the Chains, had already moved towards Yumichika the moment Barragan made a move.
With a whoosh, large patches of blood exploded from Shūhei Hisagi and Barragan's bodies. If Barragan's Respira was dealt with by Yumichika, then Shūhei Hisagi was the one who blocked the Gran Caida.
Before the battle even began, the two had already devised a battle plan.
Barragan was seething with hatred for Shūhei Hisagi's almost rogue behavior. With that one swing of his axe, his spiritual pressure had dropped even further. If this continued, he would really be worn down to death by these two.
Barragan quickly retreated a distance. Although the Chains of the Kazeshini Rope were still entangled around him, he would not be harmed as long as he did not hurt Shūhei Hisagi.
As for the other flamboyant-looking guy, Barragan also figured it out; as long as he wasn't allowed to absorb spiritual pressure, the situation could be maintained.
This time, it was Barragan down, and the two sides remained deadlocked. As long as Barragan didn't move, neither of them could harm him.
"That won't do. If we keep waiting, we'll become a laughingstock."
Yumichika a strand of hair from his forehead and felt the rising and falling spiritual pressure around him. He knew that his teammates were fighting their hardest, but he and Shūhei Hisagi were just slacking off. When everyone returned, they would become the laughing stock.
"Go for it, Yumichika, I'm ready!" Shūhei Hisagi said with a look of grim determination.
"That's settled then, I didn't force you."
Listening to Yumichika and Shūhei Hisagi's conversation, Barragan suddenly felt uneasy, and then he heard Yumichika's question.
"Skeletal Emperor, you should be able to guess that those participating in this expedition are all Bleach have Bankai..."
Barragan then realized that Yumichika had never used his Bankai from beginning to end; he had simply suppressed the power of Respira by utilizing the mechanism of his Shikai.
"Let me show you our beauty!" Yumichika Zanpakuto high, "Bankai, Hyakume Ruri'iro Kujaku!"
Hundreds of azure-colored vines fanned out behind Yumichika, each vine bearing at least one mysterious eye composed of gold and blue. Yumichika now resembled a peacock displaying its full plumage.
Immediately afterwards, those eyes flashed with eerie golden lightning, Yumichika chanted incantations, "Hundred Styles of Kido - Thunder Roar Cannon!"
The number of eyes was just a figure of speech; there were definitely more than a hundred eyes behind Yumichika. Hundreds of Thunder Roar Cannons were released from Yumichika at the same time, and the dazzling golden light made him the most dazzling person in Hueco Mundo.
Not only that, but the spiritual pressure that Yumichika used to release the Kido even came from Barragan; he himself didn't consume much of it.
If Yumichika were given enough time to study Kido, and had a sufficiently large power bank, replicating Soya Ashirogi's Hundred Paths Ittō Kasō wouldn't be impossible.
Since Barragan was unwilling to expend his spiritual pressure, Yumichika would help him do so, using Barragan's own power.
