"No idea. Let's hope it wasn't trouble brought by those people," Kyōraku said worriedly. What he feared most was some incident caused by the Ryoka who had just invaded Seireitei.
Since Ginjo and Tsukishima were still in the 13th Division, if this was an incident caused by the Ryoka, he and Ukitake would be in quite a bit of trouble as well. To keep an eye on Ginjo and Tsukishima, Kyōraku and Ukitake had not even brought their Vice-Captains, heading alone to Squad 1 for the meeting.
When they entered the Squad 1 barracks, Kyōraku and Ukitake were not the last to arrive. Yet just as they lined up in two groups according to odd and even numbers, Yamamoto announced the start of the captain's meeting.
A quick glance told Ukitake that three captains were still absent: Sosuke Aizen of the 5th Division, Byakuya Kuchiki of the 6th Division, and Kenpachi Zaraki of Squad 11.
Seeing the confusion on Ukitake and the others' faces, Yamamoto said, "Byakuya Kuchiki of the 6th Division is tracking the Ryoka. Kenpachi Zaraki of Squad 11 is unable to attend this emergency captain's meeting because he got lost."
Getting lost did fit Kenpachi Zaraki, in a way. He had set out with Vice-Captain Yachiru Kusajishi to search for the Ryoka. Without anyone else to guide them, expecting those two to find their way to Squad 1 on short notice was asking a bit much.
