She raised herself to "look" at the shattered "eye" in the sky.
"What's going on?" Onion Lady clutched the tip of her sprout with both hands and asked in alarm. The image of that broken eye filled her with dread.
It felt as though something of supreme importance was about to perish, the whole world was about to fall into turmoil, and she would have nowhere to hide.
"This is what it looks like when a Heavenly Dao disappears. A projection like this appears across the Myriad Heavens and Realms, even in some hidden places," Pavilion Master Chu's tuft of hair said, her voice faltering. Even as a tuft of hair belonging to a Longevity Immortal, it was affected by the aura of devastation.
The "eye" projected in the sky symbolized the Heavenly Dao on the verge of perishing—the one corresponding to the Three-Eyed Ruler.
When a Heavenly Dao disappeared, the Heavenly Dao Laws crumbled. With the throne of Immortality left vacant, the supreme powerhouses of the Myriad Heavens and Realms and the Longevity Immortals who lived in seclusion would emerge and step onto the stage.
"Shuhang suddenly gained the Three-Eyed Ruler's handsome looks, which means this Artificial Small World's Ancient God is connected to the Heavenly Dao corresponding to the Three-Eyed Ruler. This place is a Heavenly Dao Ruins," the Heart-Demon Scarlet Heaven Sword said.
"It's quite possible that the Heavenly Dao's disappearance caused this Small World's Ancient God to lose control and destroy the Artificial Small World," Stele Fellow Daoist speculated, following the Heart-Demon Scarlet Heaven Sword's reasoning.
Aside from Song Shuhang, Stele Fellow Daoist had lately felt an ever-growing rapport with Fellow Daoist Scarlet Heaven Sword.
