Three days later.
Rhaegar sailed out to sea.
He took Ser Arthur and Oswell, two Kingsguard knights, aboard a large ship that slowly departed Dragonstone.
Daeren watched from the cliff, seeing him off into the distance.
He could not help but admire Rhaegar. The man truly was a man of action.
When he said he was leaving, he left.
"Prince, should we leave too?"
Davos looked grave, worried that the people on the island might cause trouble.
Now, only the Dornish remained on Dragonstone.
"Leave for what?"
Daeren calmly said, "This is my family's ancestral land. It is not yet the place of outsiders to point fingers."
Come to think of it, it was rather interesting.
With the insider information Ashara had provided, he had actually pieced together Rhaegar's course of action.
Using the Tourney at Harrenhal as the turning point.
Rhaegar's original scheme should have been to sail to Essos, recover the ancestral sword Blackfyre to increase his influence, and launch a coup against his father, Aerys...
But his search for Blackfyre had clearly failed.
The plan then changed to this: Prince Doran would provide funding, the Whent Family would host a tourney, and he would use the tourney to forge connections before launching a coup...
That was Daeren's speculation regarding Rhaegar's thoughts and the events that might have happened in the original story.
Now, Rhaegar had refused Prince Doran's funding and decided to sail to Braavos to borrow money from the Iron Bank, personally funding the Whent Family's tourney...
It was worth mentioning that the Whent Family was wealthy and indeed the greatest noble house in the Riverlands after their liege lords, House Tully.
However, the Whent Family had risen too recently and could not produce the enormous prize money for the Tourney at Harrenhal all at once.
