The war between the Central Civilization and the Starfield micro-worm flying devices was gradually turning this vast city into ruins.
Reilo, however, had arrived inside the tetrahedral pyramid device with the Dimensional Swordsman.
"Stop those two!"
The mutant who discovered Reilo and the Dimensional Swordsman roared loudly.
The scene was utterly chaotic. The Central Elves, who were sealing off the gigantic pyramid device, launched attacks at the two of them one after another. Fortunately, both had already mastered Space Power. After deftly evading the attacks, they flashed forward and squeezed into the pyramid's experimental interior before the protective barrier could mend itself.
Boom.
Flames erupted inside the experimental device, accompanied by several visible manifestations of Law Power. The two assumed defensive stances, then were blasted dozens of meters backward.
Beep beep beep beep.
Dense alarm sounds came from the metal walls.
Then, several fully automatic weapons extended from the walls. Just as the two were about to evade again, they discovered that it had all been a false alarm.
The weapons had already been destroyed by the intruders who came before them.
Just then.
Two metal flying devices the size of oranges emerged from the flames of the explosion inside the experimental device. Threads of sky-blue light radiated from their surfaces as they slowly rotated like flying saucers. They quickly spotted and locked onto the two of them.
"Don't let them combine!"
Reilo and Jueyin had once been injured by the huge magic array summoned through the aggregation of these micro-worm flying devices. Naturally, they remembered these dangerous things vividly.
The Dimensional Swordsman's sword light was faster than Reilo's words.
A thread of sword light flashed past. Before the two orange-sized micro-worm flying devices could attack, they exploded and disintegrated first.
"Your ability is remarkably effective against them."
Reilo sighed
