Crater after crater, each a hundred meters across, overlapped in a jagged, densely packed expanse. Between these larger craters were smaller shell holes.

Corpses lay scattered across the battlefield, amid wreckage still burning from successive energy shockwaves. A pungent stench filled the air.

A figure hovered for a while, then seemed to spot something and descended from the sky.

"She finally let you out?"

The Dimensional Swordsman's words were laced with mockery and sarcasm.

Reilo knew it was angry with him for being trapped in this bizarre place for so long. It knew perfectly well that an Immortal was inside that seed, right within reach, yet it could do nothing about it.

"Alpha's emissary has arrived."

After speaking, Reilo raised his head and gazed into the sky.

At this point, the Star Curtain World had not yet developed a rejection response to Superhumans, and Alpha Civilization had not yet spread the rampaging laws that, in later generations, would wreak havoc across the world. Though the world was caught in an interstellar war and faced the calamity of the Sky Veil sealing it off after the Thunder Continent's destruction, causing its Law Aura to drain away at an alarming rate, the concentration of natural energy was still far beyond anything later generations could compare with.

But if the Law Aura continued to drain at this rate, even a world as vast as the Star Curtain World would not last more than a few hundred years before it crossed the threshold and plunged into irrevocable death and silence.
