As more and more curvature-spacetime flying devices gathered at the Grand Natural Sciences Academy, the final battle drew ever closer.
Megana came to Reilo's office.
"Reilo, this is our entire stockpile from recent years: ninety-four fusion radiation weapons in all. I've inspected and confirmed every weapon. Here are their detailed serial numbers and individual decryption runes."
"Thanks for all your hard work."
Reilo took the documents from Megana and looked at Xixido, who stood beside her.
But after only a brief glance, Reilo couldn't help letting out a small cry of surprise. Xixido knew exactly why Reilo had reacted that way, but said nothing.
"Megana, go take care of your work. Xixido and I have something to discuss."
"Uh, all right."
After Megana left, Reilo gestured for Xixido to sit.
Xixido didn't stand on ceremony. He lounged lazily on the sofa.
Reilo ventured, "The last time we met, you hadn't taken this step. Now you've reached such a level—you've actually become a Luck Bearer at the end of the world, when the flow of Law Aura is almost at its critical limit? If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd find it hard to believe. I'm curious: what did you discover that made this world share some of its nearly exhausted fortune with you?"
It was no wonder Reilo was so shocked.
According to his calculations, this world could sustain its rootless source of life for no more than another thousand years.
Once it passed that critical threshold, even the violent, chaotic particles left behind by the ancient Alpha Civilization would no longer be able to obstruct the red-pillar siphoning of the Superhumans. The world's Law Aura would burst forth like a breached dam, and it would take only a few decades for it to be nearly depleted.
