"Entropy... those guys!"
Reilo couldn't help but suspect that those old bastards from the Absolute Zero civilization intended to use him to take the lead in fighting Entropy. But Entropy's arrival was only a guess Dahe had made based on fragmented intelligence. Without witnessing it firsthand—or having someone powerful enough verify it—there was no way to confirm that the one who had come was Entropy.
After all, he was only an outsider.
"What's your plan?"
Reilo asked.
Dahe replied, "The Void War nearly exhausted our strength. But there's one weapon Datong has always refused to reveal ahead of time. According to our assessments, the probability of a miracle will keep increasing as time goes on, and may eventually exceed ten percent."
Following Dahe, Reilo passed through several layers of tightly secured facilities and finally arrived at the Datong Civilization's most secret laboratory.
Calling it a research institute would have been more accurate than calling it a laboratory.
Thousands of enormous, independent experimental facilities stretched as far as the eye could see, connected to one another by specialized pipes. Reilo watched in bafflement. The Datong Civilization's facilities and approach to experimentation were completely different from those of the Academic World.
Dahe introduced it. "This is the Unity of All Things."
"The Unity of All Things?"
Reilo was at a loss.
Dahe explained, "The Star Curtain World's vast heritage and history far surpass anything the Superbody Star can imagine. This is a truly complete world. By comparison, the birth of life on the Superbody Star was itself an unlikely miracle. That's why, even after Entropy appeared and led the superhuman civilization into a higher stage, it still struggled to overcome this world's immense heritage."
As Dahe continued the explanation, Reilo began inspecting the substances in the individual experimental devices one by one.
