The Death Storm left over from ancient times cast a curtain of darkness over the Storm Continent.

It protected the Star Curtain World's energy from being drained too quickly by the Star Body Siphon, but it also isolated the humble lifeforms inhabiting the continent. While making it difficult for them to recognize one another and evolve cooperatively, it also led to the evolution of countless biological races in different forms and colors.

Law Power was a dividing line.

The weaker biological races followed their instincts and built temples, gathering tens of thousands of living beings in devout prayer. At the cost of consuming soul power, they created the most primitive Law calamity weapons to intimidate outsiders. Those who simultaneously protected the settlements gathered around the eye of the storm were the Gods.

The higher biological races, meanwhile, learned more efficient ways to utilize the Laws through ceaseless exploration and research.

The Death Storm made the continent infinitely vast.

No matter how powerful these higher civilizations became, they could never dispel the shadow that hindered their perception or take that step toward a higher civilization.

Precisely because of this, to prevent other civilizations from becoming potential threats and creating competition between them, the continent's dark law of survival through plunder had never changed—including the Central Civilization and Cataclysm Civilization deep within the continent!

The reason humans named Level Four civilizations Cataclysm Civilizations was that the first higher civilization they encountered had been a Cataclysm Civilization.

Yet whether they were human scholars who trembled after glimpsing a fraction of this powerful civilization from afar, or the mighty Central Civilization that had waged war against it for so long, neither had ever managed to understand the deeper nature of this civilization.
