The process by which hyperaccelerated metabolism released powerful energy was essentially similar to the way god-tier beings wielded Law Power.
Both consumed a portion of their mass and converted it into powerful energy, structurally destroying the energy and matter of other things.
The difference was this.
God-tier beings relied on consuming Law Power for high-output conversion. They might also replenish it through tides of faith or a world-given mission, forging those into powerful God Bodies for storage. They could then consume their God Bodies to wield divine power through the laws, or use their clearer understanding of the laws to convert energy at higher output and lower cost. They weren't endangered by energy bursts that killed a thousand enemies at the cost of injuring themselves by eight hundred.
Hissssss.
In the blood mist, another aberrant monster affected by the Double Helix Law took flight. It was wreathed in ominous, sinister energy as it pounced toward Reilo high in the sky.
There was no doubt about it.
It was even stronger than the first monster.
This monster had bat wings spanning more than ten meters and three skull-like goat heads, their horns curving backward. Black flames that seemed to corrode bone wreathed its body. Though its speed and explosive power were slightly inferior to the first monster's, the energy-distorting ripples it created were almost twice as powerful, and its vitality was terrifyingly monstrous.
Not having the Tears of Dawn he'd been used to having at hand made Reilo feel quite uncomfortable.
At the core of the fireball, more than fifty meters in diameter and blazing with intense heat, he pointed forward.
Whoosh!
The enormous fireball spat out a streak of light. A steady stream of incandescent-white molten fire shot out for over a hundred meters, like a towering greatsword slashing swiftly
