Paragon High-God

The Violet Material Plane was a thoroughly inconspicuous ordinary Material Plane in the Coiling Dragon universe.

Perhaps the Violet Material Plane was somewhat larger than certain other Material Planes, but that was not enough to make it stand out among the countless Material Planes.

Thunder rumbled through the skies.

At midnight, within the Pagasuo Mountains of the Violet Plane, aside from the occasional flashes of lightning in the sky, it was dark enough that one could not see one's own hand.

The continuous roars of magical beasts, coupled with the rain pouring down from the sky, made every low-ranking warrior and magus trapped within the Pagasuo Mountains tread on thin ice.

The Pagasuo Mountains were a renowned Monster Beast Mountain Range on the Rose Continent of the Violet Material Plane, filled with innumerable high-ranking magical beasts.

Especially during harsh weather, those high-ranking magical beasts were at their most active.

At that very moment, two figures were flying at high speed above the Pagasuo Mountains.

The two figures were astonishingly fast, crossing several miles in a single flash.

Whenever the rain was about to touch them, it was instantly vaporized by the invisible power surrounding them.

Even the cries of the magical beasts within the mountains seemed to mean nothing to them.

"Supreme God's Mirror, Supreme God Token... I never thought they would actually appear in a Material Plane."

Of the two, the leader was a middle-aged man with golden hair, sword-like brows, and bright eyes. A faint smile hung on his face, while an aura of authority surrounded him, as though he had long been accustomed to looking down upon all living beings from on high.

The man's name was Yaro Augusta, a second-generation member of the Augusta Family.

The Augusta Family was the undisputed foremost family of the Plane of Light.

Moreover, Yaro himself had lived up to expectations. After cultivating for countless years, his strength had already reached the level of a Peak Asura.

Augusta had many children, yet Yaro held an even higher place in Augusta's heart than some of his weaker children.

"Since this Supreme God Mission was discovered by Lord Yaro, as long as you deliver the Supreme God's Mirror and one of its tokens, the Stone of Destiny, to the Lord Sovereign, given the Lord Sovereign's temperament, he will surely reward you handsomely."

As Yaro looked at the Supreme God's Mirror in his hand and one of the Supreme God Tokens within it, the Stone of Destiny, the middle-aged man beside him smiled as he spoke. He wore a green robe and had a golden vertical eye between his brows.

The man's name was Chegewen. He was a Sovereign's Emissary whom the Lord of Light had recruited only recently.

Chegewen's true form was a Swallowing Beast, a relatively rare divine beast. His strength was formidable as well, and he possessed the power of a Peak Asura.

"That may be true, but the most important thing now is to deal with a few minor troubles first."

Yaro smiled faintly, though his gaze turned much colder.

Chegewen naturally knew what the "minor troubles" Yaro spoke of were.

There was a reason the two of them had appeared together on an ordinary Material Plane.

The Violet Material Plane was the private garden of Korot Hurrei, a Super Genius of the Hurrei Family under the Lightning Sovereign.

Korot was a third-generation member of the Hurrei Family. His Lightning Law was just one step away from reaching the Paragon realm, and Hurrei thought highly of him.

Chegewen and Yaro had come to the Violet Material Plane only because Korot had invited them.

Besides Chegewen and Yaro, two other Sovereign's Emissaries of Augusta and a Super Genius from the Four Divine Beasts Family had also been invited.

Korot had invited these divine experts in order to forge good relations with them.

Yet during this very process, the Supreme God's Mirror representing the Supreme God Mission, along with a Supreme God Token, had suddenly appeared.

After confirming the authenticity of the items, before they could even exchange pleasantries, they immediately began fighting over the Supreme God Token.

All of them stood at the pinnacle among gods, so they naturally understood what a Supreme God Token represented.

During the battle, Korot had been rather unfortunate and become the target of everyone's concentrated attacks. Though he himself was extremely powerful, who among those present had not possessed top-tier strength?

Even after using Sovereign's Might, he had still perished in the great battle between them.

There had been seven people present. Yaro's group alone had four Augusta Family members. There was one member of the Four Divine Beasts Family, and accompanying Korot, the third-generation member of the Hurrei Family, was a female expert at the level of a Seven-Star Devil. Killing top figures from the Hurrei Family and the Four Divine Beasts Family would cause Yaro and the others some trouble, but as long as they could keep the news of the Supreme God Mission sealed away and deliver the Supreme God's Mirror and Supreme God Token intact to Augusta, everything remained within acceptable limits.

At that moment, Yaro and Chegewen suddenly sensed a fluctuation of Heaven and Earth Law from somewhere countless miles to the northwest of the Pagasuo Mountains.

The descent of Heaven and Earth Law generally occurred when someone became a god or when a god made a major breakthrough.

In a Supreme Plane or God Plane, the descent of Heaven and Earth Law was nothing unusual, but such a thing was quite rare in a Material Plane.

"Let's go take a look. Perhaps another Divine Avatar of that brat from the Four Divine Beasts Family has made a breakthrough."

Yaro and Chegewen exchanged glances. Then Yaro spoke calmly.

The four Supreme Planes, the Seven God Planes, and countless Material Planes had existed for who knew how many ages.

With such an enormous population base and so many Super Geniuses, the number of those who had truly reached the level of Paragon High-God could be counted on both hands.

At present, there were roughly thirty rumored Paragons or suspected Paragon High-Gods across all planes combined.

Yet most of them were merely suspected Paragons. Whether they were truly Paragons was another matter, and some might even be Divine Avatars of Sovereigns.

The mark of a Paragon was possessing Willpower.

The other Divine Avatars of Sovereigns also possessed a portion of Willpower. Some Sovereigns who enjoyed pretending to be weak often caused such misunderstandings.

Within the Violet Material Plane, Yaro and Chegewen continuously darted through space at extreme speed.

In almost the blink of an eye, they had flown dozens of miles.

They were already very close to where the fluctuation of Heaven and Earth Law had originated.

But at that moment, the Stone of Destiny in Yaro's hand suddenly flickered several times.

Afterward, through this Supreme God Token, Yaro actually saw a scene that would occur two seconds later—

It was a Purple Spear filled with unmatched power.

The spear seemed capable of splitting the entire Violet Material Plane in two. In the scene transmitted to Yaro by the Stone of Destiny, the spear swept past Yaro and Chegewen, its power instantly reducing them both to dust!

"Not good!"

Feeling all this, Yaro's pupils contracted sharply.

He knew that the scene that had just appeared in his mind had to be a special ability contained within this Supreme God Token!

"Chegewen, dodge!"

As he hurriedly retreated to one side, Yaro shouted at Chegewen beside him.

But it was clearly already too late.

A purple lightning spear streaked across the sky and arrived before them almost as though it had teleported.

Because he had reacted in advance, Yaro was not the spear's primary target.

But Chegewen was in trouble.

Though terror filled his heart and he desperately tried to evade this fatal strike that was enough to threaten his life, even as he fought with all his might, the spear before him remained firmly locked onto him!

"It's a Paragon!"

Chegewen's thoughts stopped there. The Purple Spear then pierced straight through his head. Under the effects of Lightning Law, Chegewen's body directly turned to nothingness, leaving behind only two rings and a Divine Spark.

One ring was a Spatial Ring, while the other was a Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact.

In Linley's era of the Original Time and Space, Chegewen possessed both a material defense and a soul defense Sovereign Artifact. But at this point in time, he possessed only one.

"This attack... it was definitely from a Paragon High-God!"

Yaro was terrified beyond measure.

Among gods, only a Paragon High-God could possibly unleash such an attack!

"Yaro, I truly didn't expect you to evade that strike of mine. Let me guess why. Was it because of the Supreme God Token in your hand?"

At that moment, an indifferent voice suddenly sounded from the horizon.

A black-robed figure strolled leisurely through the air.

He was a handsome young man with purple hair. His expression was calm, but it was not difficult to see from his eyes that he did not regard Yaro as worthy of notice at all.

Thunder resounded across the heavens. Purple lightning flashed through the sky, illuminating the young man's sharply defined face.

He merely stood there quietly, yet Yaro felt a chill run through his entire body.

"Wyatt, you actually reached the Paragon realm?"

As Yaro spoke, his entire body could not help but tremble.

"What? Others can be Paragons, but I cannot?"

The young man merely smiled faintly and did not deny it. He looked at Yaro as though he were already dead.
