Leisjing's appearance gave the weak gods collecting Purple Crystal around the outskirts of the Mist Sea quite a fright.

That Bald Youth had actually emerged from the Mist Sea?

Hadn't it been said that any god who entered the Mist Sea would lose their sense of direction and surely die? Then what was going on with this Bald Youth?

For a time, quite a few gods collecting Purple Crystal around the Mist Sea's outskirts felt that they had discovered some incredible secret.

Compared to Leisjing emerging from the Mist Sea, many gods were even more astonished by the attitudes of the experts and higher-ups of the Eighteen Families.

The Eighteen Families were already colossal existences in the eyes of ordinary gods, lofty and unreachable.

Yet before Leisjing, they acted so humbly, like watchdogs.

In truth, the Eighteen Families had been personally arranged by the Zijing Sovereign outside the Zijing Mountains to maintain order around the mountains' outskirts.

Otherwise, with the Eighteen Families' level of strength, how could they possibly work so steadily on an Overgod's territory?

Calling the Eighteen Families watchdogs was not exactly wrong.

After warning the higher-ups of the Eighteen Families, Leisjing stopped paying attention to the gods and stood off to one side, waiting for someone's arrival.

There was nervousness in Leisjing's expression, along with a trace of excitement.

The person Leisjing was waiting for was naturally Wyatt.

Leiding informed the Zijing Sovereign of Wyatt's arrival through divine sense. The Zijing Sovereign then told Leisjing about it, allowing him to leave the Zijing Mountains for a time and visit the Plane Battlefield once.

As an Overgod's child, Leisjing was probably one of the more unfortunate ones.

Although he was quite strong and a Purgatory Commander, the Zijing Sovereign kept too tight a rein on him. Unless Leisjing truly could not stand it any longer, she simply would not allow him to leave the Zijing Mountains.

Even when he did leave, one of the Zijing Sovereign's Emissaries would usually accompany him.

This did ensure that he remained safe most of the time, but it also directly caused Leisjing to behave rather rebelliously before the Zijing Sovereign.

Leisjing and the higher-ups of the Eighteen Families waited quietly outside the Mist Sea. At that moment, a purple light streaked through the sky from an extremely distant point, flying toward the Mist Sea at a speed beyond what any god could imagine.

"He's here!"

Seeing that purple light in the distance, Leisjing's eyes lit up.

With such speed, there was no need to think about it. That person had arrived.

The higher-ups of the Eighteen Families behind him did not dare make any unnecessary movements.

The arrival was someone even Leisjing had to receive with care.

If the Eighteen Families offended him, they likely would not even know how they died.

Wyatt had long since noticed Leisjing and the group of experts from the Eighteen Families. He could also sense that the Zijing Sovereign had given him considerable face—only short of personally coming out to welcome him.

No aura leaked from Wyatt's body, yet the invisible bearing of one who looked down upon all living beings made every god feel as though they stood before an emperor among gods.

In but a moment, Wyatt appeared before the group of higher-ups from the Eighteen Families.

"Greetings, Lord Wyatt!"

These experts did not dare slight him. They immediately dropped to one knee and spoke respectfully.

It was not only the higher-ups and experts of the Eighteen Families. Even the most ordinary gods who had come to the outskirts of the Mist Sea and were now hiding in corners were affected by Wyatt. They respectfully knelt on the ground, not even daring to raise their heads for fear of drawing Wyatt's attention.

"Big Brother Wyatt, you've finally come. My mother has wanted to meet you for a long time and exchange a few words with you."

The Bald Youth Leisjing rubbed his head and chuckled. He hurried over to ingratiate himself with Wyatt, even changing his form of address directly to Big Brother.

"Let's go. Since Elder Zijing wishes to see me, I naturally cannot waste her time."

Wyatt nodded at Leisjing, then did not linger any longer. He took a step forward and entered the Mist Sea first.

Seeing this, Leisjing said nothing more. He immediately transformed into a streak of light and followed behind Wyatt.

From beginning to end, Wyatt did not pay any attention to the higher-ups of the Eighteen Families.

These figures, so lofty in the eyes of others, did not even possess the qualifications to speak with Wyatt.

"Wyatt? Isn't he the Paragon High-God of the Four Divine Beasts Family?"

"Could it be that a Paragon lives within the Zijing Mountains?"

In Hell, even weak gods had heard of Wyatt's name. Upon hearing that the person who had just appeared was a Paragon, and that this Paragon had flown directly into the interior of the Zijing Mountains, such thoughts unconsciously arose in the minds of those weak gods.

The Mist Sea surrounding the outskirts of the Zijing Mountains was naturally nothing to Wyatt, who had already reached the Paragon level.

Even those who were not Paragons could resist the Mist Sea's effects on the soul if they possessed certain special methods.

Along the way, Leisjing kept trying to strike up a conversation with Wyatt.

It was obvious that he wanted to befriend Wyatt.

That was only natural. Who would not want a Paragon expert as a friend?

Especially a god like Leisjing, who had grievances with some of the other Overgods' children.

There were seventy-seven Sovereign Sparks in the world and dozens of Overgods. There were at least hundreds of Overgods' children.

There were quite a few powerful children of Overgods among them.

Though these children of Overgods would not kill one another, the Overgods generally would not interfere if they killed those around another Overgod's child or bullied one another.

Unfortunately, Leisjing was one of those often bullied on the Plane Battlefield by Augusta's children.

Leisjing racked his brains but could not think of anything he possessed that could move Wyatt.

Sovereign's Might? Would a Paragon of the Four Divine Beasts Family like Wyatt lack Sovereign's Might?

Or Sovereign Artifacts? But if Wyatt wanted Sovereign Artifacts, could he not simply kill enough Commanders on the Plane Battlefield?

Watching Leisjing keep trying to talk to him, frowning as he pondered what to say, Wyatt found it rather amusing.

Leisjing's upbringing had left him with somewhat of a child's temperament.

However, Wyatt did not dislike him. From what Leisjing had done for Linley in the Original Time and Space, it was clear that he was a decent person.

The outskirts of the Zijing Mountains were shrouded in the Mist Sea, but there was no fog within the mountains themselves.

Towering verdant peaks appeared before Wyatt. The trees on the mountains were lush and green, and as Wyatt and Leisjing passed through the ranges, they occasionally saw gods hiding among the mountains.

These gods varied in strength, but they were generally not powerful.

The gods who had luckily survived within the Zijing Mountains had all been accidentally swept in and survived after being affected by the Mist Sea's upheavals, which occurred once every unknown number of years.

Leisjing could not be bothered with these gods now. Only when he was occasionally bored would he use them to amuse himself.

"Big Brother Wyatt, my mother is inside. Other than occasionally communicating with those boring Overgods through divine sense, she hasn't met anyone in a long time."

The two passed through a magic formation and arrived at the foot of a tall mountain deep within the Zijing Mountains.

At the base of the mountain stood a simple, ancient stone door. It was open at the moment, with dim lamplight spilling out from within.

"You're not coming in with me?"

Wyatt looked curiously at Leisjing, who stood still where he was.

"I won't be going in. I've had a little conflict with my mother recently."

Leisjing rubbed his bald head and chuckled as he sent Wyatt a message through divine sense.

The conflict he spoke of with the Zijing Sovereign was not really anything serious. Leisjing merely felt that she controlled too much, leaving him with too little freedom.

Since Leisjing said so, Wyatt could not force him. He merely nodded slightly before striding inside.

As Wyatt ventured deeper, the scenery within the enormous mountain gradually came into view.

It was a cave whose surrounding walls were covered in murals. Among them, Wyatt recognized Leisjing's true form, the Zijing Beast, as well as two Zijing Divine Beasts far larger than the Zijing Beast.

As Wyatt continued deeper, the cave grew increasingly spacious. Eventually, he arrived in a vast hall, bright as day within. Strange patterns had been carved into the walls and ceiling.

This was a great hall located within the mountain wall.

The hall was very simply furnished. Directly opposite Wyatt stood two thrones made from some unknown type of stone.

At that moment, a beautiful mature woman sat upon one of the thrones. She wore a fitted purple robe that accentuated her curvaceous figure, with refined features and black hair, as though she were waiting for someone's arrival.

"Elder Zijing!"

Who else could be here and make Wyatt feel a trace of pressure, other than the Zijing Sovereign?
