Two More Cloud Ninjas

Tianqi felt his mission was complete, but unfortunately, the system's voice didn't come, indicating the mission was still ongoing.

He was currently in a snow cave he'd dug himself, bandaging his wounds. It would be abnormal not to get injured after killing so many enemies. Fortunately, the injuries were minor, and bandaging them finally brought the bleeding under control.

After finishing his bandaging, Tianqi couldn't help but sigh, "The battlefield is truly a good place to temper oneself." It was completely different from his usual missions; though dangerous, it was full of opportunities.

Over the past three days, he had not only gained experience but also improved his combat skills.

Tianqi closed his eyes to rest for a moment. "The system mission isn't complete yet, now is not the time to rest. Come on! Let's go!" After cheering himself up, he set off again.

"I don't have much food left, I need to find a place to resupply." After walking for two hours, a forest appeared before Tianqi.

"Where there's a forest, there must be food. There will definitely be enemies in a place like this." He cautiously approached the forest, constantly scanning his surroundings, and occasionally using his senses. He didn't want to be caught off guard.

"Why are there no enemies? Did I think too much?" Just as Tianqi thought there were no enemies, he suddenly sensed the Chakra of two Genin-level individuals.

"I knew it. There's only this forest around, there must be an ambush. But you two Genin dare to ambush me? You're looking for death." With that, Tianqi slowly began to approach the two Genin from behind.

When he was still a few hundred meters away, Tianqi finally saw them. Two people were hiding in the snow and grass, with various explosive tag traps scattered around them.

Seeing the two burly men, a question arose in Tianqi's mind: "Are these Kumogakure Genin? Are you kidding me? With their strong builds, they should be at least Chunin. It seems these two were disguised as Genin to lure someone in."

"You want to lure me? Let's see how I lure you." Tianqi formed hand seals, "Shadow Clone Technique!" Bang! A clone identical to Tianqi appeared beside him.

The clone was in sync with Tianqi's thoughts. As soon as it appeared, it understood and rushed directly into the traps.

The explosions ended. Tianqi used another clone to disguise itself as a corpse, lying in the pit where the explosions occurred. After doing this, he found a patch of snow and grass to hide in.

Neither side rushed forward immediately; both chose to wait.

After a while, "Damn, these two guys look experienced. They're not coming to check. They're probably Jonin, experienced old Jonin."

"If you want to waste time, I'll waste it with you."

Finally, after two hours, the two Cloud Ninjas couldn't hold back any longer and came out. They walked towards the explosion site and saw the corpse lying in the pit.

"Big brother, see? I told you it would be fine. Looking at the kid, he's only about ten years old, at most a Chunin. It's impossible for him to survive so many explosions," said the younger Cloud Ninja to the other.

"It seems I was overthinking. This kind of kid really doesn't have the ability to survive the explosions, but it's always good to be cautious on the battlefield."

"Lightning Style - Lightning Strike!" A bolt of lightning shot towards Tianqi. Tianqi stomped his feet and left his original position. The lightning struck where Tianqi had been.

Boom! With an explosion, the already dead Cloud Ninja was blown aside.

"I'll fight you to the death!" The Cloud Ninja grabbed his long sword and charged at Tianqi, without any technique, intending to trade blows.

Facing this kind of fighting style, the clone Tianqi didn't back down either. He also held his Tang Dao (Straight Saber) and thrust it directly towards the Cloud Ninja's heart.

Seeing the opponent charging at him and aiming for his heart, the Cloud Ninja smiled slightly. "You want to trade lives? Who's afraid of whom?" He also aimed for Tianqi's heart.

Swoosh, swoosh. The blades of both sides pierced their hearts almost simultaneously. The Cloud Ninja coughed up blood but smiled at Tianqi and said, "Kid, you think you can trade lives with me? "Is that so?" Tianqi looked at him with a smile, then with a bang, he disappeared from the Cloud Ninja's sight.

"It's a Shadow Clone! Damn it! I miscalculated!" Just as the Cloud Ninja was about to escape, the main body, Tianqi, used Wind Style - Cutting and directly took the head of the escaping Cloud Ninja.

Looking at the fallen Cloud Ninja, Tianqi directly took their food, identified the direction, and began to rush towards the central Konoha ninja camp. He had taken a detour to kill enemies earlier to complete the mission perfectly.

"The five days given by Sarutobi are almost up. As long as I can reach the camp alive, this mission will be completed."

While eating food, Tianqi ran at full speed. He had been moving slowly earlier because he was worried about Cloud Ninjas. Now that most of the Cloud Ninjas were dealt with, and the camp wasn't too far away, he began to hurry.

Tianqi recalled the scene just now and felt a little scared. Fortunately, he had been cautious. Seeing the berserk Cloud Ninja, he hadn't let his guard down and instead used a clone to fight. If he had gone himself, he would have been finished.

Outside the Konoha camp, under the setting sun, Sarutobi stood on a rock, looking into the distance with a worried expression. Only half of the ten teams that had left the village had returned, and those who returned were either injured or brought back bodies, with some confirmed dead. But there was still no news from Tianqi, and the agreed-upon time was approaching.

In the morning, Sarutobi had a strange feeling, as if something had happened. Seeing only half the teams return, his heart sank. These were all Konoha ninjas. They had only gone out once, and so many had died. War was truly merciless.

"Lord Sarutobi, Lord Sarutobi, Tianqi is back!" A ninja wearing a Konoha forehead protector appeared behind Sarutobi.

"He's finally back. How is he? Is he alright?" Sarutobi turned to the ninja and asked.

"He's fine. He's injured and is currently being bandaged in the medical bay. I don't know how serious his injuries are, as I came straight here to inform you."

As soon as the ninja finished speaking, Sarutobi disappeared from his spot. "The Lord truly cares about Tianqi."
