Lin Qi was still thinking about how to kill Si Ying when the man himself showed up.
And right inside a branch office of Liu Heavy Industries, no less!
He was still dressed impeccably, but compared with last time, the expression on the young man's face held a little less politeness and a little less madness.
The young man looked more troubled now, and even seemed somewhat relieved.
"I actually thought you were Liu's heir. Turns out I was wrong."
Si Ying didn't seem to have come looking for trouble. There was even a hint of apology in his words, and none of the crazed behavior he'd shown before.
Lin Qi furrowed his brow. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Given his position, he shouldn't know anything about the heirs of the Si Clan or the Liu Group.
Even after last night's assassination attempt, he shouldn't know the details.
Si Ying gave a self-mocking laugh. "You've got it worse than me? At least I know the truth."
Lin Qi reconsidered his judgment. The man was still crazy.
Although this was a branch office of Liu Heavy Industries, it was still a public place. Some things couldn't be discussed here.
"Want to talk?"
Si Ying invited him, as if he had something to tell Lin Qi.
"If you have something to say, say it here." Lin Qi flatly refused.
No matter how down on his luck Si Ying was, he was still part of the Si Clan, not to mention its publicly recognized heir.
Si Ying shrugged. "We can talk here if you want. I don't mind either way."
After a brief pause, he added, "After what happened last night, with the brains of an A-level Researcher, I'm sure you've figured some things out."
Lin Qi frowned even harder.
