Background / History

Tang San is a God King of the Douluo God Realm who holds both the Sea God and Asura God Positions. He and the First Generation Shrek Seven Devils form a major faction within the God Realm, opposing the older faction led by the God of Destruction. 2

He is married to Xiao Wu and names their second son Tang Wulin shortly before the Space-Time Turbulence reaches the God Realm. Tang San promises to protect Xiao Wu and their family while privately viewing the calamity as an opportunity to remove the God of Destruction. 2

During the crisis, Gu Yuexi escapes the God Forbidden Land and seizes the God Positions and seeds left behind by the Goddess of Life and God of Destruction. Tang San confronts her to reclaim the relics, avenge the fallen God Kings, and preserve plans he had intended for Tang Wulin. 3

Gu Yuexi overwhelms Tang San in direct combat, neutralizing his Asura Blood Sword with Time Rewind, breaking his divine armor with Golden Dragon Explosion, and leaving him critically injured under repeated Golden Dragon Claw attacks. 3 He is later revived alongside Xiao Wu through the Power of Creation created by Ji Dong and Lie Yan. 9

When the God Realm faces destruction by the Space-Time Turbulence, Tang San sends Tang Wulin to Douluo Star through a Spatial Passage, believing the lower realm will be safer for his son. 9 10

Tang San leaves a Divine Sense Clone, Sea God Inheritance, and numerous divine blessings inside Tang Wulin. Gu Yuexi forces the clone out of Tang Wulin's Spiritual Space, pursues it through Cosmic Space, and kills it after preventing it from self-destructing with the blessings. 17 18 19

Huo Yuhao later publicly accuses Tang San of manipulating Douluo Star's history, obstructing godhood ascension, and arranging the Abyss Plane invasion. These revelations destroy much of Tang San's Faith Power on Douluo Star, destabilizing his Dual God Positions and severely injuring him. 25 26 27 29 30

Tang San is deeply attached to Xiao Wu and his children, repeatedly prioritizing their safety during the God Realm crisis. He sends Tang Wulin away from the endangered God Realm and calls on Xiao Wu when his own life is threatened. 9 29 30

He is also calculating and intensely ambitious. He seeks to retain his Dual God Unity, win the War of the Gods, command the future Great God Circle, and become its Supreme God King. 29 Even while severely injured, he refuses to relinquish either God Position because he considers their combined power essential to his future authority. 30

His opponents portray him as manipulative and self-serving, particularly regarding Huo Yuhao, Tang Wutong, Tang Wulin, and the development of Douluo Star. These accusations ultimately turn major Douluo Star factions against him. 11 25 28
