Then she checked the materials required for the Shelter's next upgrade.

After closing the panel, Ji Xinghe walked around inside the Shelter.
The first floor had gained another 20 square meters. A wooden wall now stood between the living room and bedroom, with a dark brown door separating the two.
The Shelter looked much more spacious. There was now a window behind the living-room sofa and another in the bathroom.
Beside the bathroom was a wooden spiral staircase leading to the second floor.
Ji Xinghe headed over.

After climbing a dozen or so steps, she reached the door to the second floor.
She pushed it open, revealing an empty space of 50 square meters, devoid of any life.
There was a window on either side, offering a clear view of most of the island.
As she walked farther in, Ji Xinghe caught sight of an electronic panel near the door.
She reached out and tapped it.

There was a groove below, labeled: Energy Input.
It looked just like the groove in the Shelter Core. Ji Xinghe took out a No Attribute Spirit Stone and placed it inside.
A moment later, the spirit stone was swallowed up.

Ji Xinghe nodded, understanding. "So that's how it works."
Looking at the bare second floor, she carried the Treadmill up as well.
She stepped onto it and made sure it worked before stopping.
But just then, the Treadmill's screen suddenly changed.
