History

Ji Xinghe constructs the Shelter soon after entering the Island Survival World. Its original form is a cramped tent occupying half of her tiny island, but she immediately treats it as a priority and upgrades it alongside the island itself 5.

By the time it becomes a wooden house, the Shelter serves as the center of Ji Xinghe's resource management. She stores materials, food, seeds, blueprints, medicine, weapons, and monster corpses in organized Storage Boxes, while keeping frequently needed combat supplies in her backpack 9.

The Shelter becomes increasingly integrated into Ji Xinghe's life with her companions. Xiao Xi secretly enters at night, washes itself in the bathroom, and sleeps beside Ji Xinghe; Xiao Sha is assigned to guard the exterior 31. Ji Xinghe later expands the surrounding Wooden Fence into multiple layers, treating the compound as a defensible home rather than merely a building 36.

During the Blood Moon disaster, Ji Xinghe installs a Shelter Protective Shield. The shield blocks the attack of an intruding player, protects the enclosed fence area, and allows Xiao Sha entry only after Ji Xinghe grants permission 41 44 54.

Structure

Early Wooden House Layout

The Level 2 Small Wooden House measures 5×6 meters. Its interior includes a living room, a small kitchen with a wood-fired stove, a dry toilet, a hallway, and a bedroom 10.

Two-Story Wooden House

Following the Level 5 upgrade, the Shelter expands to 100 square meters, with a 50-square-meter footprint and a second floor 47.

• The first floor gains additional space, a wall and door separating the living room from the bedroom, and extra windows near the sofa and bathroom.
• A spiral wooden staircase leads to the second floor.
• The second floor is a 50-square-meter room with windows overlooking most of the island.
• The second floor houses the Gravity Room's control panel 47.

Later renovations include a roughly 90-square-meter master bedroom with a small living room, walk-in closet, bathroom, and floor-to-ceiling window; the Shelter also has a 20-square-meter study and an open balcony outside it 93.

Functions

Storage and Crafting

The Shelter holds Ji Xinghe's Storage Boxes and Crafting Table, allowing her to organize resources and produce supplies in bulk 9 62.

• Each Storage Box has 30 slots, with a stack limit of 999 per slot.
• Storage Boxes cannot be placed in a backpack; doing so destroys both the box and its contents.
• Ji Xinghe uses the Crafting Table to manufacture fences, arrows, and large batches of Storage Boxes 9 10 62.

Training

A treadmill is present in the early wooden house and is used by Ji Xinghe to train Agility 10 35.

The merged Gravity Room becomes a dedicated training facility on the second floor 45 47.

• Two hours of full-intensity training grants +1 Strength.
• Ji Xinghe can also gain Agility and Constitution through training.
• She finds that regular training improves her control over attributes gained through other means 45 60 86.

Blood Moon Protection

During the Blood Moon, remaining inside a Shelter reduces a player's Deformation Value by 0.5% per minute 39.

• Ji Xinghe combines the Shelter's protection with an Anti-Poison Mask, allowing her Deformation Value to remain at 0% while sheltered 39.
• She uses Purification Technique after brief outdoor exposure to further reduce accumulated Deformation Value 61.

Defenses

Wooden Fence

Ji Xinghe surrounds the Shelter and farming plots with Wooden Fence sections, later adding several rings around the building for greater security 10 36.

• The fences separate Orchard Island from the Shelter area after the islands merge.
• Xiao Sha guards the exterior while Xiao Xi protects Ji Xinghe within the Shelter 31 36.

Shelter Protective Shield

Ji Xinghe exchanges 999 limited-time points for the blue-quality Shelter Protective Shield during the “Guard the Island” event and installs its core under her bed 40 41.

• Fully resists attacks from monsters below Tier 3.
• Partially blocks attacks from Tier 4 monsters.
• Requires Energy Stones; its energy use rises with the damage it blocks.
• Covers both the Shelter and the enclosed Wooden Fence in a hemispherical barrier 41.
• Can intercept creatures attempting to enter and request Ji Xinghe's authorization before allowing them through 44.
