Something is wrong, very wrong.
Gu Su stood deep within the half-orc camp, his brows furrowed as he scanned his surroundings. A familiar sense of unease rose in his heart.
It was the same feeling he'd had when he first saw the oil tank centipede shell.
He realized instantly that this half-orc camp before him could not be treated as an ordinary temporary stronghold.
This camp, built around a derelict building, was, like the oil tank centipede shell, a target that could be corrupted and devoured by the graveyard demon's corruption spores.
With this thought, Gu Su could no longer hold back. Without any hesitation, he immediately whispered into the air, "White Crow, go immediately and call Coyote and his squad over. Make it quick!"
After giving the order, he turned and quickly returned to the edge of the forest, signaling the skeletons who were still inside collecting materials and clearing the battlefield to come over as soon as possible.
The priority now was to transport all the usable supplies from the half-orc camp. As for the plan to build a cart, that would have to wait until Coyote's squad arrived and there were enough hands.
The skeletons immediately stopped their work and quickly followed Gu Su towards the camp. Although their movements were still stiff, they were not at all sluggish.
About ten minutes later, hurried footsteps could be heard from a distance. Coyote, having received the order, rushed to the camp entrance with his squad.
Gu Su's gaze swept over them and he immediately noticed their empty hands.
He understood. Coyote must have guessed his intentions and, before coming, had already sent the supplies his squad had previously transported back to the graveyard demon, to avoid delaying the current task.
"Coyote, you're here at the right time."
Gu Su raised his finger and pointed at the half-orc camp before him, without any extra words.
"Clear out everything that can be taken from here. Also, transport the bodies of the half-orcs in the forest. Leave nothing behind."
Coyote glanced in the direction Gu Su was pointing, then quickly scanned the pile of bodies at the edge of the forest. He immediately understood the importance of the task and bowed without hesitation, replying, "Don't worry, sir. This is my responsibility. I'll finish it as quickly as possible!"
After speaking, he carefully examined the camp layout again, his gaze falling on the rough logs, animal hides, and wreckage of the derelict building used to construct the camp. He looked up and asked, "Sir, can these construction logs, animal hides, and usable parts of this ruined building be dismantled and transported as well?"
"Yes, dismantle everything and take it. Don't waste a single usable item."
Gu Su's tone was firm. He paused and added, "You and your squad busy yourselves here. I'll go back to the graveyard demon first. I'll be back soon."
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned and walked away. He even told the severely injured skeletons to follow him as he passed them.
The graveyard in the graveyard demon could help them recover quickly, so they couldn't be left here.
Gu Su sprinted back quickly and soon arrived at the entrance of the graveyard demon.
He didn't even have time to catch his breath before directly addressing the graveyard demon, "Give me a shopping cart full of corruption spores, as fast as possible!"
As soon as he spoke, the ground vibrated slightly, and a rusty but intact shopping cart shot out from underground. The cart was piled high with snow-white corruption spores, emitting a faint, chilling aura.
"You guys, go in first."
Gu Su waved to the injured skeletons beside him, his tone softening slightly.
"Go back to your graves and rest well. When you've recovered, follow the original path and find me at the half-orc camp."
Watching the severely injured skeletons slowly enter the graveyard demon, Gu Su wasted no more time. He immediately pushed the shopping cart filled with corruption spores and turned, sprinting towards the half-orc camp.
This round trip, including the time spent arranging for the skeletons to rest, didn't take too long, only about fifteen minutes.
But when Gu Su returned to the half-orc camp pushing the shopping cart, the scene had completely changed.
The efficiency of Coyote's squad exceeded Gu Su's imagination.
At this moment, several neatly packed piles of supplies were already stacked outside the camp. Coyote was directing his squad in a coordinated effort.
Several skeletons used the rough hemp ropes found in the camp to tie the dried wild fruits and root vegetables into small bundles, then wrapped them in thick animal hides for moisture protection.
Weapons were arranged by type: sabers and heavy clubs were grouped together, beast bone spears were aligned, and tightly bound with vines to prevent collisions and scattering during transport.
The dismantled logs were cut into equal lengths and bundled in pairs. Animal hides and usable wooden boards from the ruined building were stacked neatly and tied with hemp ropes in a cross pattern, firm and secure.
All supplies were sorted, packed, and tied. Two skeletons worked together to steadily lift them, waiting for orders.
Even the half-orc corpses in the forest had all been moved to the camp entrance and tidily arranged.
The skeletons used thick branches to build simple racks, placing the half-orc corpses side by side. Short ropes were used to secure the bodies to prevent them from slipping. Two skeletons worked together to lift a rack, on which eight half-orc corpses were neatly arranged, moving steadily without any disturbance.
It was evident that with the aid of tools, two skeletons working together could easily lift at least eight corpses without compromising their movement speed.
With just Coyote's squad, all the supplies and corpses here could be packed and taken away without any delay.
Coyote patrolled back and forth, occasionally adjusting loose knots with his bone claws to ensure every item was securely packed and not wasted.
As expected, they were his best transport squad, efficient and hassle-free.
Gu Su praised him silently as he looked at the scene before him, but his expression remained unchanged.
He hadn't rushed back with the shopping cart to check on the progress of the transport.
He strode quickly to the center of the camp, stopped, and abruptly dumped all the corruption spores from the shopping cart onto the ground of the half-orc camp.
The snow-white spores scattered, instantly covering a small area. They slowly spread outwards along the cracks in the ground.
The moment the corruption spores touched the ground of the camp, a voice suddenly sounded in Gu Su's ear:
[Discovered land that can be corrupted and devoured. Orc Camp (Abandoned Block Security Office). Do you wish to devour it?]
Just as I thought!
Gu Su had been waiting for this.
He decisively said, "Devour."
[Please select the transformation direction after devouring:
1. Obtain Broadcast Station (Level 1). Can broadcast externally once daily (consumes 5 Yin energy), attracting 5 to 10 undead to the base.
2. Obtain Combat Sentry (Level 1). Through the consumption of Yin energy, gold coins, metal, and other materials, ordinary undead can be transformed into corresponding Undead Warriors.
3. Obtain Gatekeeper Sentry (Level 1). Undead can be arranged to reside here, transforming them into Guarding Undead, responsible for patrolling and managing the city gates.]
