I was completely bewildered.
It was like those paparazzi street photos of celebrities. I could never understand how other people could identify someone wearing a hat, a mask, and sometimes even oversized sunglasses as a particular celebrity. I could never tell who someone dressed like that was.
The skinny guy and the fat guy were clearly just like me. Neither of them thought the people in these two photos were the same person.
But the original poster, who had first broken the story, had sworn up and down that Huang Anxin was generous with her money, that she was always too busy to do her homework, that she never wanted to go out with her classmates on weekends or during summer vacation, and that someone had spotted hickey marks and handprints on her. That made the post even more suspicious.
