I did as Liu Miao had said and tried very hard to sense it.
For the next few days, aside from work, I spent all my time trying to sense it.
But things didn't go very well.

I hadn't experimented on living things, and the chances to sense my ability were always fleeting. When I wasn't using it, I couldn't feel it at all. It was as if it had hidden itself away, deliberately making sure I couldn't find it.
I kept at it for a week. I even looked up meditation tutorials online and asked Liu Miao and the others for advice, but I still couldn't figure out how to get started.
The people at Greenleaf were helping me, too. They had selected some people who had died recently, hoping to find me a dream subject so I could sense my ability more clearly.
That wasn't easy.

No matter how you looked at it, it was risky.
You couldn't tell much about a person's psychological state from their résumé alone. Even someone who seemed outstanding to an outsider might, deep down, be a repressed and deranged pervert.
The people at Greenleaf weren't going to let me take that risk.
As Gu Mo put it, if all else failed, we should just leave it to Ye Qing.
They didn't expect that
