Amid the sobbing and the footsteps in the hallway, the surroundings slowly changed.

Sunlight and lamplight filled the dormitory. A few girls sat at their desks or on their beds, busy with their own things. Ghost Talk came out of the bathroom, pulled out her chair, and sat down. She took her homework from her backpack. The other girls stopped what they were doing and stole glances at her.

After a while, Ghost Talk finished her homework and packed everything away.

"Um, Zhang Xin." The little girl who had been so assertive the night before jumped down from her bed.

Ghost Talk turned to look at her.

"We all know about what happened to your mother," the little girl said.

Ghost Talk's heart gave a painful thump. A dull ache spread through her chest. That sadness passed straight on to me.

"Well..." The little girl seemed conflicted. She ran to the desk and took a sheet of paper from a drawer.

The paper was rather stiff, with a white back. When she unfolded it, a colorful image appeared. It looked like a poster for some cartoon, though the composition was a little strange. The magic circle floating in front of the character's chest was clearer than the pretty, adorable female character herself.

"This is a summoning board from Lolo Zero. Um, you've seen Lolo Zero, right?" the little girl asked.

Ghost Talk shook her head.

"You've never seen Lolo Zero?" someone beside them exclaimed, then quickly covered her mouth.

"Lolo Zero is a cartoon. She, uh, helps souls move on. She can send ghosts off to be reincarnated," the little girl explained. "She uses this to help them move on. I borrowed it from my neighbor. It might work. And I've got this, too!"

She ran back to the drawer
