I immediately told the other three about this discovery. Wu Ling and Liu Miao could both figure it out, and I was even less worried about Han Yun. I mainly wanted to give Guo Yujie a heads-up.
Han Yun was with Guo Yujie, so she seemed perfectly safe.
Another gust of wind blew through, and the teddy bears hanging from the tree swayed. Two of them fell down.
Liu Miao casually picked one up, but found nothing unusual. He put it back on the ground.
Wu Ling had already headed toward the house. We followed her inside. Guo Yujie didn't sense anything, but I felt the sinister aura growing more and more muddled. The malice was hard to make out, as if the spirit behind the aura were not in its right mind.
Wu Ling pushed the door open without resistance.
The dog was nowhere to be seen, but we could hear barking from inside the house.
The barking seemed to come from near and far, impossible to pin down.
When the door opened, its hinges creaked. The sound wasn't drowned out by the barking; instead, it stretched out unnaturally, echoing through the house. It was very strange, as if someone were opening and closing doors from one room to another. The barking and the sounds of doors opening didn't come from the same place.
Guo Yujie covered her ears and looked around.
The light in the entryway came on.
I saw a ghost flash past.
The light kept flickering, changing just like those sounds. The electricity crackled, mingling with the barking and the sound of doors opening. Then came a bang. The bulb burst, plunging the house into darkness, and all the sounds stopped.
"What the hell?" Han Yun muttered.
"Seems like it's... not very stable." Wu Ling sounded
