I vaguely remembered which anime Minxite's appearance came from. In Minxite's consciousness, I'd seen a fragment of the anime's title.
The name Minxite was, of course, not that of an anime character. It was the name of a demon passed down since ancient times, from the language of the Kazana.
Going by what I remembered, I connected the fragmentary anime title to the Grim Reaper and started searching.
The Grim Reaper Came to My House + Grim Reaper—no. The Grim Reaper Came to Live with Me + Grim Reaper—no. The Grim Reaper Lives at My House + Grim Reaper—still no.
All those searches turned up a bunch of unrelated stuff. Nothing showed Minxite's appearance.
There was an anime with a similar title, though: My Roommate Is the Grim Reaper. The title was tacky, and so was the story. Basically, the male lead got cheat powers and teamed up with his Grim Reaper roommate to fight off a demonic invasion. The Grim Reaper was a handsome male character, even more handsome than the lead—not a female character.
That didn't seem right either...
I started to get frustrated.
In terms of title and popularity, that Grim Reaper roommate anime best matched my memory. It had started airing six months ago and was pretty popular right now. Most of the time, searching those keywords led me straight to it. But the character's appearance was completely different from the anime I'd seen in Minxite's consciousness.
I was starting to give up.
Maybe the anime with that character hadn't been brought to China yet, and it was popular overseas. The consciousness was foreign, too; Minxite had simply made its way here.
Hadn't Chen Xiao Qiu just said that this sort of thing was happening all over the world?
If you looked at it that way,
