As we walked along, Guo Yujie widened her eyes and warily scanned from side to side, moving especially slowly. Luckily, there weren't many people on Jintian Road. The shopkeepers on either side were all lounging around, watching TV or playing on their phones without even looking up. None of them noticed that a suspicious woman had appeared on the street.
I had a deep feeling that Guo Yujie wasn't cut out to be a detective. I had no hope she'd find anything, so I just strolled along behind her, looking at her **** and long legs.
Guo Yujie was beautiful from the front and the back, but her personality was only suited to admiring from a distance. Getting your hands on her was another matter—you'd need to be lucky enough to survive it.

I glanced at the milk shop across the street. Its owner had a face full of bunched-up flesh and looked ferocious. He wasn't suited to running a milk shop. He'd be better off swinging a cleaver at a meat stall in the market—or wearing a floral shirt and a thick gold chain, lounging in a nightclub booth with women on either side while watching his underlings smash someone's head in.
"You shouldn't judge people by their looks," I lectured Guo Yujie.
Maybe the milk shop owner had been born with that face. How could we discriminate against him for it?
If we were talking about suspicious people, Guo Yujie was the most suspicious person on the whole street. Unfortunately, I couldn't tease her about it, or this strongwoman might slap me into half-paralysis.
