Nangong Yao's family matters weren't something we should pry into. The Skinny One, our biggest gossip, had probably been shaken to the core. He was still fretting over his ability and seemed completely out of it. Guo Yujie was a gossip too, and though her injuries were the lightest, she was very quiet just then.
I asked, "What happened to that female ghost?"
"She died," Gu Mo answered casually.
I looked at him, waiting for him to elaborate.
"Mo Wen killed her. I only heard the sound." Gu Mo shrugged. "Besides absorbing blood, he can devour his own kind. Powerful evil spirits are all like that—they eat anything."
After saying that, Gu Mo groaned and rolled over.
He felt his back, muttering a few curses under his breath.
He looked like a bad-tempered old man in his seventies or eighties, with every bone in his body aching.
If Gu Mo lived that long, he'd definitely turn into that kind of obnoxious old
