Puerto Rico.
Its capital, San Juan.
It was a coastal city, with the boundless sea to the north. The entire city was bathed in salty, damp sea breezes that kept it cool throughout the summer.
In the wilderness outside the city.
A flock of sheep grazed without a care in the world.
Some were fat, some thin; some fast, some slow; some lazy, some pretty, and some looked especially festive.
Suddenly, azure lines appeared in midair, outlining one intricate Teleportation array after another.
A cable hung down from one of the Teleportation arrays, like the legendary celestial rope.
Boom!
With a deafening crash, a square quantum battery crate fell from the sky.
The sheep were dumbfounded.
What was this supposed to be?
Sheep ran on the ground, while crates came from the sky?
Before the sheep could recover, a massive alloy chamber landed.
More things fell down.
There were electrical wires, data cables, and all sorts of strange things that moved when powered on.
Finally, several people fell down.
One little sheep blinked.
I've heard of rain falling from the sky, but never people!
And several in a row, too!
Thud!
Thud, thud!
Eli was at the bottom, with the skinny Frederick and Hugo on top of him, then the chubby Vincent, and finally the curvy Lucy.
"Ahhhhhh!!!"
The long, continuous screams terrified the sheep.
They weren't Eli's. They came from Frederick and Hugo.
Eli had been knocked unconscious on impact...
Vincent shifted his butt, feeling as though something soft, warm, and comfortable was pinned beneath him. He suddenly didn't feel much like getting up.
Robbie bent his knees slightly and landed in the grass. His body was wrapped in his signature chains, tied in a meticulous and professional manner.
Old Wang appeared some distance away and drifted gently to the ground.
He reached out and caught Skye in his arms, then sighed.
"This landing spot seems a little off... Well, errors are unavoidable. I only picked the most suitable timeline from Azeroth's countless timelines. It's not like I summoned Jaina or Medivh to cast the spell on the spot, so I can't ask for too much."
His luck was fairly good.
If they had been teleported several thousand meters into the air, or several thousand meters deep into the ocean or underground, that would have been a disaster.
As for directly summoning Jaina or Medivh for help?
Medivh was out of the question. With Old Wang's tiny amount of blood, there was no hope at all.
As for Jaina, the white-haired witch version wouldn't work either.
He could barely summon the one from the time of the Battle of Mount Hyjal, but it would consume a great deal of blood every second. Old Wang had no desire to be a five-second wonder. That feeling was awful, and mass Teleportation was extremely difficult anyway. It took a long time just to cast, making it impossible to complete...
Old Wang looked into the distance.
The sea met the sky.
The setting sun flew alongside a lone wild duck, while autumn waters merged with the endless sky.
It truly was beautiful.
San Juan was just ten li away, not particularly far.
It was an old city, founded in 1508, with a population of more than six hundred thousand. In the Great Foodie Empire, that would amount to nothing—not even as large as a small county town—but on an island like Puerto Rico, which wasn't especially large, it was already quite impressive.
San Juan was actually a port city, with considerable import and export trade every year. The people enjoyed a decent standard of living, and it wasn't too crowded. A city like this was actually well suited for retirement, but Old Wang knew very well that he probably wouldn't have the fortune of retiring peacefully in this life.
Back then, after finally taking down Aggramar and Obliteron Argus, he had planned to return to his home on the Wandering Isle, move a little stool to the doorway, and watch the sunrise and sunset. Yet before he could make that happen, he had eagerly crossed over once again.
A protagonist was a protagonist. When did they ever get to rest?
"Wang, what are we doing here?"
Skye twisted free from Old Wang's arms and looked at the exotic scenery in the distance, entranced. For a moment, she was actually dazed, thinking that spending the rest of her life watching scenery with Old Wang like this would be nice.
But she still hadn't found her father and mother...
"Find a place to reinstall these things and let them continue their experiments."
Looking at the things before him, Old Wang felt quite pleased.
Jaina's mass Teleportation was incredibly powerful. Transporting a small army at once wouldn't have been a problem, so it couldn't be wasted.
That was why Old Wang had decided at the time that these expensive pieces of equipment had to be taken with them.
Robbie and the others spent several minutes gathering every useful thing they could find and dismantle.
Accompanied by a flash of magical light,
everything was teleported here.
As for how they were supposed to move it all away?
Anything money could solve wasn't a problem.
The problem was that they had no money...
Old Wang touched the bank card in his pocket and turned to look at Robbie.
Lucy and the other three had only just been resurrected. They definitely had no money, and they were already "dead." If they suddenly went to the bank to report their cards lost and replace them, they would probably be invited to the police station for coffee immediately. They might even attract S.H.I.E.L.D. or Hydra.
Eli had just gotten out of prison, and not through normal means, so he had no money either. He also couldn't go to the bank.
All of Skye's belongings were in her car, and the car was at the repair shop.
After calculating it all, Robbie was actually the richest among them.
There was still a thousand dollars on the bank card, enough for now. The key was that Old Wang had to plan for their future lives. A frugal household had to spend carefully.
"Fine. You'll pay me back."
Robbie sighed and prepared to call and rent a vehicle.
"Don't worry. I'm not paying you back. Not a single cent."
Old Wang patted Robbie on the shoulder. Looking at Robbie's flaming head, he smiled. "But I can heal your little brother's broken legs, make them just like before they were broken—maybe even better than before. How does that deal sound?"
Robbie had been about to transform into Ghost Rider and have a proper discussion with Old Wang.
Then he heard the second half of Old Wang's sentence.
He froze instantly.
His younger brother was still in the hospital.
Both of his legs had been broken in that car accident.
He didn't have the money to send his brother to the best hospital or hire the best doctors. Even if he had, it would have been useless.
Modern medicine simply couldn't cure him.
His brother was strong and had even comforted him, saying it was fine.
But late at night, Robbie had seen his brother secretly weeping.
No one could truly not care about their own legs.
Robbie had already fallen into despair, but now he saw hope.
Compared to his brother's legs, what was a little money?
He hurriedly called to rent a truck.
Two hours later, a box truck carrying everyone and all the equipment arrived in San Juan's old district and stopped near the northern watchtower.
After that, Robbie rented a fairly cheap large warehouse and generously paid a year's rent upfront.
Everything was moved inside and reassembled.
Naturally, that would take time, and Old Wang couldn't stay here with them forever.
There was something in San Juan that he needed—or more precisely, something Skye needed. That was the real reason he had chosen San Juan.
But not yet.
Because there was something more important he had yet to obtain.
As for now?
They had been away for so long. It was time to go back.
More importantly, Robbie couldn't wait any longer.
With a pained expression, Old Wang handed his bank card and password to Lucy as living expenses for this period. Then, spending 0.02 grams of Azeroth Blood, he exchanged it for two ordinary Teleportation spells from some unknown unlucky bastard.
A flash of magical light passed.
The two returned to Los Angeles.
