Ch. 401The Secret Realm

Li Fan investigated whether Guanzhu Feng Qingniu and Wisdom Dharma King were connected, but Xuantian dismissed the theory and knew little about the Divine Cult’s Holy Flame. Li Fan then visited Ink Bamboo Mountain’s secret sword-forging realm, discovered a ruined extraterrestrial city and its surviving technology, and watched Xuantian begin repairing Moon Soul.

  • Li Fan questioned whether the True Yang Dao Fire was the Divine Cult’s Holy Flame and whether Guanzhu Feng Qingniu was Wisdom Dharma King, but decided to wait for more evidence.
  • Li Fan asked Xuantian about the Holy Flame, and Xuantian said he had never heard of it and doubted that Guanzhu Feng Qingniu was Wisdom Dharma King.
  • The silver leaf confirmed that Qin Nanxin was recovering and led Li Fan and Kun to the sword-forging workshop to check on Moon Soul’s repairs.
  • Li Fan entered the Tai Su Realm through the Thousand-Faced Immortal statue and discovered a ruined city beneath a shell in the extraterrestrial immortals’ world.
  • Li Fan saw Ink Bamboo Mountain’s cultivators studying alien technology and transporting Non-Things into a surviving spaceship.
  • Xuantian used a Mechanical Puppet to prepare the sword-forging equipment and began reforging Moon Soul with the Sword Talismans and Suihou Pearl.

Ch. 402Hidden

Li Fan learned that the temple master had altered his and Real Person Liang’s memories, then helped Liang trace the hidden matter surrounding Zhao Jingtai and the Divine Transformation attacker. Liang decided to investigate the Death Gate Dao remnants at Tiantai Mountain, while Li Fan’s many unexplained sources of information drew his suspicion.

  • Li Fan concluded that the temple master’s goals might extend beyond personal power and returned to Ink Bamboo Mountain to question Ban Yu, but learned the temple master had taken her to Lou Guan Tower.
  • Li Fan visited Real Person Liang, who revealed that someone had tampered with his memories of Zhao Jingtai’s stone case, the sword pellet, and the attack on Li Fan.
  • Real Person Liang identified the memory-altering method as a secret technique of Lou Guan Dao and suspected the temple master had altered both their memories to conceal a disagreement.
  • Real Person Liang said the temple master was their junior brother, Feng A, and decided to investigate Zhao Jingtai’s cave abode.
  • Li Fan redirected Liang toward the suspected Death Gate Dao hideout at Tiantai Mountain, but Liang questioned how Li Fan knew so much about the sect and its remnants.

Ch. 403Protocol

Li Fan learned that Ink Bamboo Mountain faced war and famine, then enlisted Li Gan and Li Kun to seek a technological solution to the food crisis. As he prepared to focus on cultivation, Madam Yan asked him to help her captured sister, Yan Jiyue, and Li Fan agreed in exchange for tofu vouchers.

  • Li Fan convinced Real Person Liang to investigate the Death Gate Dao in Li Country while he stayed behind to await Yao Xuanzhou and continue his own plans.
  • The temple master gave Li Fan the Samadhi Bright Flame Phoenix Profound Technique and explained that Ink Bamboo Mountain had signed a temporary nonaggression pact with Mount Heng and the Divine Cult amid looming war and worsening famine.
  • Li Fan asked Li Gan and Li Kun to help address the food shortage, and they agreed to analyze alien technology without using system technology on a scale that would trigger a Rectification Protocol.
  • Li Fan registered Li Gan and Li Kun as attendant boys under Mountain Master Li so they could enter Ink Bamboo Mountain's restricted places and work on the crisis.
  • Madam Yan asked Li Fan to help her sister Yan Jiyue, who had been arrested after her injuries and demonic aura were exposed, and Li Fan agreed after spotting Madam Yan's tofu vouchers.

Ch. 404Sisters

Li Fan rescued Jiyue from Ink Bamboo Mountain’s prison and learned that she and Yan Liuyun were fox-spirit sisters with ties to the Six Fan School. The sisters joined Li Fan at his estate, where they revealed a secret dual-cultivation technique that could restore Jiyue’s strength, and the three began practicing the Suwen and Lingshu together.

  • Li Fan used his sect merit points to free Jiyue and returned her deed of sale to Yan Liuyun along with half the tofu vouchers.
  • Jiyue and Yan Liuyun revealed their Spirit Race origins, and Jiyue explained her work as an investigator for the Six Fan School.
  • Jiyue asked to serve Li Fan, and Yan Liuyun agreed to bring her children to his estate and help care for its residents and spirit fish.
  • Jiyue and Yan Liuyun disclosed that their family’s Lingshu technique could restore Jiyue’s injured meridians through dual cultivation.
  • Li Fan recognized the Lingshu as the companion text to the Suwen, and he and the Yan sisters practiced the two techniques together.

Ch. 405Daily Life

Li Fan studied Lingshu and Suwen with the Yan sisters, healed Jiyue, and deduced that the lost Immortal Emperor’s Inner Canon had once comprised three manuals. After leaving the sisters to recover, he read reports of Emei’s leadership struggle and widespread bloodshed, recognizing that the brief peace had ended.

  • Li Fan studied Lingshu with Liuyun and Jiyue, then concluded that Lingshu and Suwen were fragments of a three-part Immortal Emperor’s Inner Canon and began planning a personal version suited to his Tai Su Dao Body.
  • Li Fan treated Jiyue with Suwen for seven days and nights, healing her injuries while the Yan sisters gained cultivation and learned to use Lingshu and Suwen together.
  • Li Fan knocked the Yan sisters unconscious and left them in the Dan Pool to recover, then read the letters that had accumulated during his ten days in seclusion.
  • Li Fan learned from Lou Guan Tower’s bulletin that Xuan Yunzi and Qing Yunzi were fighting over Emei’s succession while experts gathered at the sealed Golden Summit.
  • Li Fan read Qin Nanxin’s letter asking about Emei and saw reports of massacres, sect annexations, and clan destruction across the Twelve Countries.
  • Li Fan recognized that the peace established by Xuantian’s and Cangsong’s generation had ended and that the world had returned to chaos.

Ch. 406The Move

After the temple master ordered Li Country’s sects to prepare for a campaign against the Ten-thousand-mountains, Li Fan sought to build up his own forces. He recruited Duan Ye as a spy using Lou Guan’s memory-altering art and went to meet Qin Nanxin to pursue an alliance with Emei.

  • The temple master issued the Order to Topple Mountains and Destroy Temples, mobilizing Li Country’s sects and demanding they prepare to seize territory in the Ten-thousand-mountains.
  • Li Fan visited Duan Ye as the Wisdom Dharma King and offered her a choice between becoming his servant and having her memories altered; Duan Ye chose to serve him.
  • Duan Ye explained her resentment toward the Duan Family, and Li Fan used Lou Guan’s secret art to implant her desire to reclaim what she had lost and send her to infiltrate Li Qingyue’s circle.
  • Li Fan gave Duan Ye the genuine God Lord Jade and ordered her to infiltrate Li Family Village, then hurried to the Ink Bamboo Mountain Grotto-Heaven to find Qin Nanxin.
  • Li Fan planned to ally with Qin Nanxin and the Qin Family of Emei to strengthen his faction, while considering using his secret art if Qin Nanxin refused to cooperate.

Ch. 407Dao Companions

Li Fan and Qin Nanxin discussed Emei’s factions and the dispute between Xuan Yunzi and Qing Yunzi before agreeing to become Dao Companions devoted to cultivation rather than romance. Li Fan overcame his feelings as an emotional tribulation, and the two began making plans to cultivate together.

  • Qin Nanxin explained Emei’s five lineages and how the Southern Court’s fortunes and leadership had become central to the sect’s internal conflict.
  • Qin Nanxin said she had come to cultivate the Boundless Nascent Soul with Li Fan and clarified that she wanted no romantic bond or marriage.
  • Li Fan recognized his desire to possess Qin Nanxin as an emotional tribulation and cleared it by patting his head, gaining a 500-point increase to his mood limit.
  • Li Fan accepted Qin Nanxin as a Dao Companion and offered to use a secret dual-cultivation method to help heal her injuries.
  • Qin Nanxin asked Li Fan to appear younger because she liked his boyish appearance, and they became Dao Companions who cultivated together.

Ch. 408After the Generations

Li Fan accepted that Qin Nanxin would ultimately follow her own path, then learned more about Xuantian’s ties to her rescuer, Huangfu Jing. He set out for Middle Valley Dojo to deliver weapons and cultivation methods to Asha, while considering how to gather disciples who shared his goals, and arrived at a dispute between refugees and Ink Bamboo Mountain patrols.

  • Li Fan concluded that altered memories could not change Qin Nanxin’s nature or the choices either of them would make, and he chose to cherish their time together.
  • Qin Nanxin told Li Fan that Huangfu Jing’s guidance had saved her, and Xuantian explained that Huangfu Jing was his former disciple’s grandson and an ancestor of Asha’s family.
  • Xuantian gave Li Fan sword blanks, cultivation methods, and the repaired Frost Stone sword pill to deliver to Asha, and urged him to guide her as a junior sister.
  • Li Fan decided to seek his own disciples who would fight for the Wujie Realm, then flew toward Middle Valley Dojo to check on Asha and patrol the area.
  • Li Fan found refugees and six injured Ink Bamboo Mountain Golden Core cultivators arguing over a slain demon beast, and recognized the cultivators’ armor as belonging to the South Palace Family’s mountain-guarding immortal soldiers.

Ch. 409The Transformation into Humans

Li Fan tested a new Tai Su transformation method by feeding Devil Embryo flesh to refugees, successfully creating human Dao Bodies in Li Hanzhi and his adopted son, Li Shisheng. The method still proved dangerous when two Nangong immortals exploded, so Li Fan concluded it needed more refinement before he could teach it to Asha.

  • Li Fan appeared before the refugees and Nangong Family immortals, subdued the immortals, and offered Li Hanzhi a chance to consume Devil Embryo flesh.
  • Li Hanzhi survived the transformation with Li Fan's help, formed a powerful human Dao Body, and was renamed Li Moyun and recruited to Ink Bamboo Mountain.
  • Li Fan let Li Moyun's adopted son, Li Shisheng, try the transformation; the boy developed a strong Dao Body and received armor from Li Fan.
  • Several onlookers volunteered to become test subjects, and Li Fan selected two Nangong immortals to eat the Devil Embryo hearts.
  • Both Nangong immortals exploded, ending the crowd's enthusiasm and convincing Li Fan that his human transformation method needed years of refinement.

Ch. 410Surrounding the Mountain

Li Fan arrived at Lingqiu Mountain as a massive demon army besieged the Middle Valley Dojo and killed two Divine Transformation demon kings before unleashing a rampage that annihilated the horde. Fuling calmed him with a pendant, and Li Fan returned to himself, greeting her after a long separation.

  • Li Fan learned from Li Moyun and Li Sheng that the demons were an organized vanguard wearing down Ink Bamboo Mountain’s defenses while the main horde gathered in Lei Marsh.
  • Li Fan charged the siege, killed King Yaoguang and King Yushan with the Tai Sha Sword Rainbow, and watched the other two demon kings flee.
  • Li Fan slaughtered the remaining demons around Lingqiu Mountain, growing increasingly frenzied as he chased the points earned from his victories.
  • Li Fan’s sword techniques formed twin black and white dragons that devoured the demon army, prompting Real Person Huang and four Lou Guan Dao Real Persons to confront him.
  • Fuling emerged from the array with a pendant bearing a Gurong charm and called Qingyue by name, causing the dragons to vanish and Li Fan to regain himself.

Ch. 411Ultimate Evolution

After breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm and evolving his twin Carp Dao Bodies, Li Fan stabilized his cultivation and suppressed the chaos in his Qiongqi avatar. He left the Demon-Suppressing Tower to rejoin Fuling, Chen Asha, and the Ink Bamboo Mountain leadership, while considering how to make cultivation accessible to ordinary people.

  • Li Fan's uncontrolled breakthrough formed his Wuji Nascent Soul and evolved his black and white Carp Dao Bodies into the Kun Dragon and Qian Dragon Dao Bodies.
  • Li Fan saw that Qiongqi, Guiche, Gonggong, the Five Mountain Gods, and the twin dragons were fighting in his avatar, so he sent the Blood Infant Devil Embryo to subdue them.
  • Li Fan decided to continue studying Ink Mountain's Tai Su transformation method so ordinary people could have a path to cultivation.
  • After stabilizing his foundation overnight, Li Fan left the Demon-Suppressing Tower and was greeted by Fuling and Chen Asha.
  • Li Fan gave Chen Asha flying swords and sword pills, offered Fuling several items for protection, and asked them to find his two servants before joining Real Person Huang and the other Real Persons.

Ch. 412Ate Too Much

Li Fan learned that the Lou Guan Dao Real Persons had been waiting to ambush the demons and took over Middle Valley after they left to pursue them. He organized the gathered forces and supplies for Ink Bamboo Mountain’s campaign, while Chang Jian and the Nangong Family’s soldiers offered to serve under him.

  • Li Fan met the five Lou Guan Dao Real Persons, who revealed they had planned to lure the demons into a trap and complained that he had eaten too many of their potential spoils.
  • The Real Persons handed Li Fan command of Middle Valley and flew off to hunt the remaining demons.
  • Li Fan divided the gathered people by their willingness to fight, earn money, or take paid risks, then assigned Fuling, Li Moyun, and Asha to organize logistics, troops, and disciples.
  • Fuling organized merchants and supplies, while Li Moyun recruited and equipped refugee fighters; Asha began sorting the Ink Bamboo Mountain Disciples.
  • Chang Jian, a junior officer whose commander had died, led over a hundred Nangong Family soldiers in offering their service to Li Fan.

Ch. 413Mentoring the Younger Generation

Li Fan offered shelter to Chang Jian and the former Nangong Immortal Guards, then gathered them and other Golden Core cultivators for mountain training. He left the Central Valley in Fuling’s care and secretly planned to lead the expedition into Lei Marsh to hunt demons.

  • Chang Jian explained that the Nangong Family’s unpaid wages, taxes, and costly military supplies had driven the soldiers to seek refuge under Ink Bamboo Mountain.
  • Li Fan agreed to shelter the soldiers at Lingqiu Mountain, warned them that changing paths could cost their lives, and invited them to train with him at Yangjia Mountain.
  • Li Fan taught Fuling how to operate the Central Valley formation, repaired it, and gave her protective talismans before setting out.
  • Chen Asha, Li Moyun, and Chang Jian assembled their Golden Core groups, and the party boarded cargo airships to join more recruits from the other mountains.
  • Li Fan revealed his private plan to take the recruits into Lei Marsh, where he hoped to clear out demons while letting them gain experience.

Ch. 414The First Set of Ink Bamboo Mountain Calisthenics

Li Fan tried to prepare the Golden Core cultivators and wandering cultivators for surviving baleful qi by teaching them Ink Bamboo Mountain body training and Dao Heart methods, but the Gu Guan Method nearly killed several students. After encouraging the survivors and checking Chen Asha’s sword training, he learned that rival systems might have awakened after his security protections were disabled, and that someone else had taken his key.

  • Li Fan taught the gathered cultivators his Ink Bamboo Mountain Astral Fist calisthenics as body training to help them resist baleful-qi mutations.
  • Li Fan began teaching the Gu Guan Method, but it caused several students to bleed, nearly mutate, or die, so he stopped and used his head-patting technique to save some of them.
  • Li Fan tried the Heavenly Ghost View and then urged the frightened crowd to stand up for their own rights, while his True Yang Dao primordial spirit washed over them.
  • Li Fan questioned Chen Asha about her Beichen Sword Sect training and discovered she could not understand the manuals or distinguish the five swords, then reassured her about her other skills.
  • The System told Li Fan that it had accessed Ink Bamboo Mountain’s alien mainframe and could create an intelligent assistant system for apostles.
  • The System warned Li Fan that his disabled firewall might have let rival systems awaken as viruses, and revealed that someone else had taken his key.

Ch. 415One Step Too Late

Li Fan transformed into Zhu Long, trained Ink Bamboo Mountain's disciples in Lei Marsh, and destroyed the demons' stronghold at the Gonggong Divine Hall. After learning that the demon army had joined Heng Mountain and the Ling King's forces in a surprise attack on Luofeng Mountain, he realized the war threatened to bypass Ink Bamboo Mountain's defenses and rushed back to warn the temple master.

  • Li Fan learned that Bamboo Mountain forces had already launched their own attack on Fei Mountain, so he took Lingqiu Mountain's ships and cultivators to Lei Marsh for training.
  • Li Fan used the Zhu Long Dao Body to carry the ships through the thunderclouds, then sent the disciples into an area with smaller demons while he flew to the Gonggong Divine Hall.
  • Li Fan killed three Divine Transformation demon kings, destroyed the Demon God Palace ruins and the demons' collected writings, then returned to the disciples with the demon kings' remains.
  • Li Sheng killed a wolf demon under Li Fan's watch, and Li Fan praised him and promised to make him a personal disciple if he ate the demon king.
  • Li Fan interrogated a lion demon and discovered that the Lei Marsh army had joined the Ling King's forces and traveled east by sea to attack Luofeng Mountain with Heng Mountain.
  • Li Fan realized the coalition planned to destroy Luofeng Mountain and then invade Li Country by bypassing Ink Bamboo Mountain's defenses, so he hurried back to report the danger.

Ch. 416The Showdown

Li Fan and Yao Xuanzhou brought reports of mounting threats to the temple master and pressed him about his origins. The temple master revealed that he was a clone of Nangong Wubu, whose discarded human heart lived in Feng Qingniu.

  • Li Fan prepared the Lei Marsh cultivators with carved techniques and tofu-ticket rewards, then flew to Lou Guan Tower to discuss the gathering threats with the temple master.
  • The temple master reported Emei’s split, an attempted assassination of the ruler, and catastrophic flooding on the Li River; Li Fan warned that the Demon Race had withdrawn from Lei Marsh and might attack Luo Feng Immortal Palace.
  • Yao Xuanzhou reported that a Divine Religion Dharma King had crossed Kunlun with at least ten thousand elite soldiers.
  • When the temple master said their unsettled thoughts were disrupting his divinations, Li Fan and Yao Xuanzhou separately asked whether he was connected to the Divine Religion or the Immortal Palace’s imperial clan.
  • Li Fan revealed the True Yang Dao Fire, and the temple master clarified that he was neither an Immortal Emperor nor a Dharma King.
  • The temple master revealed that he was a clone of Nangong Wubu and that Feng Qingniu contained Nangong Wubu’s discarded human heart.

Ch. 417Wubu

The abbot told his disciples how Nangong Wubu rose from a cautious Crown Prince to the leader of a rebellion against the Three Great Sects. He revealed that Nangong Wubu lost his heart when the Thousand-Faced Immortal granted his wish for fearlessness, while the fear he cast aside was sealed inside the abbot.

  • Nangong Wubu inherited the throne after his father was assassinated and gathered companions and ambitious outcasts while fighting demons on the southern frontier.
  • As the Xuan Sects’ campaigns drove demonic cultivators and failed disciples south, Nangong Wubu welcomed them into his growing ranks and formed an Alliance of Rebels.
  • After his forces destroyed the last Demon Race stronghold on Ink Bamboo Mountain, Nangong Wubu asked his followers how they could take the world from the Three Great Sects.
  • The gathered rebels tried to devise a plan, argued, and then proposed divining whether their rebellion would succeed.
  • The Thousand-Faced Immortal appeared and offered to grant a wish to everyone present who survived.
  • Nangong Wubu asked for a heart that feared nothing, and the Thousand-Faced Immortal replaced his heart with a rock while sealing his fear inside the abbot.

Ch. 418Seven Friends

The temple master revealed the Seven Friends’ connection to the Thousand-Faced Immortal, including how Nangong Wubu’s heart was preserved and how the group’s plans collapsed. He explained that Nangong Wubu remained alive beneath the Dragon-Slaying Terrace and sent Yao Xuanzhou and Li Fan on separate missions to counter the crisis at Ink Bamboo Mountain.

  • The temple master identified Nangong Wubu, Mo Chanzi, Shi Tong'er, Lu Hansheng, and Luo Yin as five of the Seven Friends, and suspected the Wisdom Dharma King was another.
  • The temple master explained that Lu Hansheng preserved Nangong Wubu’s heart inside the newborn Feng A, while the Seven Friends gained Tai Su Dao and later splintered after Mo Chanzi and Lu Hansheng’s deaths.
  • The temple master revealed that Nangong Wubu survived his apparent death and was sealed beneath the Dragon-Slaying Terrace, warning Li Fan and Yao Xuanzhou to destroy him if he threatened to break free.
  • The temple master ordered Yao Xuanzhou to offer the True Yang Technique to the western Dharma King or release the Taotie at night to disrupt his army.
  • The temple master told Li Fan to leave his body behind, attach his primordial spirit to a Huixing Cloud Script, and help kill an unnamed person during a deadly calamity.

Ch. 419Duel of Magic

Li Fan joined the Abbot’s magical duel against Hengshan and used a Cloud Script to ambush disciples from Mount Emei and Hengshan who were recovering at an Immortal Pavilion. Before he could attack, a monstrous Dao Lord appeared beneath the False Moon and sent a mass of demonic hands crashing down on the pavilion.

  • Li Fan concluded that Hengshan’s Seventh Friend had taken control of Nangong Wubu’s rebel faction and prepared to fight alongside the Abbot.
  • The Abbot instructed Li Fan to follow once the incense burned down to a third, then kill everyone he found.
  • When the incense reached the mark and the soul lamp remained lit, Li Fan swallowed the Dan Ying and projected his primordial spirit to an Immortal Pavilion.
  • Li Fan discovered more than a hundred injured Mount Emei Southern Faction and Hengshan Yellow Court Palace disciples resting at the pavilion and readied his Blood Talisman Twin Swords.
  • A purple-robed Dao Lord appeared beneath the False Moon, transformed into a mass of demonic arms, and sent them plunging toward the Immortal Pavilion.

Ch. 420The Grandmaster's Legacy

Li Fan fought Xuan Yunzi and the Emei disciples inside the Immortal Pavilion while the corrupted Purple Void Dao Lord’s Demon Claws slaughtered cultivators outside. After Emei’s Golden Thunder Universal Illumination dispersed his clone, Li Fan re-formed it and learned the technique, leaving the battle engulfed in light.

  • Purple Void Dao Lord’s demonic corruption transformed and drove the wounded Emei and Hengshan cultivators into a massacre as Demon Claws attacked them.
  • Li Fan killed Ting’er and confronted Xuan Yunzi, who wielded Emei’s White Hidden Sword and fought to protect the Immortal Pavilion.
  • Xuan Yunzi called the Nan Sect disciples to form the Falling Sword Formation, but Li Fan exploited their Six Gates Formation and killed several Emei cultivators.
  • Li Fan trapped Xuan Yunzi and the remaining Emei disciples in Blood Sea Sword Howl, but Xuan Yunzi and the others calculated their way through the formation as more cultivators joined the fight.
  • The Emei cultivators struck Li Fan with Golden Thunder Universal Illumination, dispersing his Star Radiance clone, but it re-formed and Li Fan learned the technique.
