Matthew made a swift decision. Carrying the unconscious bearded Goblin, he quickly used Apparition. The space atop the Invisible Hand twisted, and the two vanished in an instant.
In the direction opposite the Basilisk's head, space twisted, and two figures appeared out of thin air.
Matthew had teleported behind the Basilisk with Apparition.
However, using Apparition while carrying an unconscious Goblin in such haste was still too difficult. The bearded Goblin's right arm had been cut open by space.
The bearded Goblin had taken quite a hard fall earlier. Even with his arm injured now, the pain did not wake him.
Having bitten empty air, the Basilisk flicked out its tongue again, as though sensing something.
Matthew waved his wand, transforming the grass beneath the Basilisk into roaring flames.
However, the Eyeless Basilisk slammed directly into the blaze. Before the fire could spread, it was extinguished by the Basilisk's impact.
Matthew realized that this eyeless Basilisk seemed to attack enemies through heat detection. He continuously cast Transfiguration Spells, turning all the grass around the Basilisk into burning flames.
As expected, the Eyeless Basilisk was disrupted. With flames everywhere, it could not detect Matthew's position.
