By the time Matthew saw the blonde elf again, she had changed her outfit.

She had traded her floor-length dress for a fitted, knee-length one that made it easier to move. It showed off her thigh-high boots, and a hooded capelet rested on her shoulders. Her gloved hands held a long staff.

Strangest of all, she wore a travel pack on her back. She looked exactly like the mage in an adventuring party from a storybook.

"Your Highness, we're only going to a residential area in the Sixth Ring. We're not leaving the city, so you don't need a travel pack," Matthew reminded her, rubbing his forehead. Aileen Seale had a storage Wizard Tool. She wouldn't need to carry a pack even on a long journey, let alone this trip.

"But it feels more like an adventure this way!" Eileen grinned and called out eagerly, "Let's go!"

They took a teleportation array to the Royal Capital's Sixth Ring. Aileen Seale seemed fascinated by everything she saw.

Matthew understood now. Aileen Seale had read too many storybooks and wanted to experience an adventure for herself.

Given her status, the Court Wizards wouldn't dare assign her anything difficult. She had hardly even visited the Royal Capital's Sixth Ring.

"Let's rent a carriage first!" Eileen spotted a carriage rental office beside the teleportation point and began putting what she had learned from storybooks into practice.

Matthew thought it over and agreed. He didn't know the way either. The spell marked on their assignment scroll could point them toward their destination, but the Sixth Ring was huge, and they could still take a wrong turn. If he led the way, he might give himself away. Renting a carriage would get them a driver who could serve as a guide.
